    • "I have the feeling you're the one attracting trouble and on top of that you're clumsy.", Caelan chuckled. Ronan hasn't shown much of the clumsiness but he had told Caelan about the one time he slipped on some ice and cracked his head open, there were probably a lot more stories like that too. Caelan was the one keeping Ronan out of situations like that hopefully, or was he putting him into those, when he went for a hike with him? That was something Ronan usually wouldn't do, right? "I know I know, don't worry. I won't ask again, you'll just come to me when you feel like sharing." Still Caelan wondered what it was that needed courage to tell him. He basically openly admitted he was guy, that was something he could be killed for, but there was something else he couldn't tell the blonde? Caelan was curious, but as he promised, he wouldn't ask again, he didn't want to pressure Ronan or drive him away. Maybe Caelan wasn't even ready to hear it and after all they only knew eachother for a few months, most of the time they didn't even spend together, there was no need to trust the blonde that easily.

"Hm... well then I guess at least I'll be able to fight for you." If Ronan wasn't going to use his sword, if he wasn't ready to spill blood again, Caelan would do that for him if need be, though probably there was nothing much to protect him from, they lived a relatively safe life after all. "I don't. But I guess there is no need to let everyone know that you're not available, right? You wouldn't kiss someone else, or even flirt. No girl and certainly no other guy... right?" Why did Caelan insist? He knew he could trust Ronan and in the end he had a crush on him for the longest time, so why would he searh for someone else all of a sudden. Still he kind of wanted affirmation that Ronan wouldn't find someone else for when Caelan wasn't here, though this thought alone sounded pretty stupid. "If you say so.", Caelan replied to Ronan as he told him his father would end any rumors spreading. But what would happen if their parents started to believe the talk themselves? "I know, but I find my ways touching you without anyone noticing.", Caelan suddenly grinned and he did, didn't he? Softly brushing over Ronans hand when standing next to each other wasn't something anyone would notice. Caelan even winked at him at the tournament and everyone probably thought this was directed at a random girl behind him. Caelans arms briefly found their way around Ronan again. "No we can go back inside, I've got enough fresh air.", he finally replied, let go again and started searching for their clothes which were spread all over the place. The blonde put Ronans clothes near him, so he was able to stay under the blanket while dressing up and then he slipped into his own pants and shirt.
    • "Me, clumsy? What are you even talking about?", he suddenly asked. Ronan wasn't sure what his boyfriend wanted from him, but if anything, he didn't check his facts ... which, in fact, were that he didn't know the whole thing. From an onlookers perspective, or from someone that was fed some of his lies, he was - in fact - clumsy, but Ronan couldn't pinpoint what it was that Caelan was talking about. How many suicide attempts did he fail, how many sheets and clothes had he ruined and how many times had he sat there, acting like everything was fine, while he was laying in his own blood, standing in a puddle of it or watching as his clothes soaked them up during family dinner? All of it felt like a bad dream, like a nightmare that he had recently awoken from and something that his pale, sickly skin was desperately trying to hide - but he himself was evidence for his own crimes, wasn't it like that? "You're right about that, if I want or need something, I will come and annoy you first things first", he summarized once more and if he was honest, he already missed the skin contact that they had earlier - but he had ended that himself, out of the very selfish reason that he wanted nothing more than to get inside and spend his night doing something else than Caelan. What did he actually want to do, though? Something stupid that would lead to him being branded as clumsy?

"Oh, I like that - so you're going to go into battle wearing Alsters colors?" Not that that was applicable, of course, the deep dark blue that Fhaergus sported were fitting for Caelan, but that didn't mean that he couldn't enlist his fellow duke, could he now? And if they couldn't do that, in any case of emergency, they could at least fight under the same banner - wasn't that better? "Jealous, are we? But rest assured, I wouldn't. You're way too precious to me, I'd never want to trade you for someone else, you have my word, as long as you keep your grubby hands off of girls", Ronan chuckled, almost threatening the blonde as he peered up and gave him a peck on his lips. "If you can't promise that, I can't promise you that my mouth is all yours." In the end, it was jut his hands and his mouth that he'd offered to Caelan so far, they hadn't done anything else - but the chances of finding someone else that was willing to sleep with Ronan, well, they were slim anyway, but playing with fire was interesting. "And guess what, you can touch me at the masquerade with everyone noticing - as long as you don't get indecent." Frankly, Ronan wouldn't mind being touched in public, but that also meant that others would see and that, in turn, made him already feel quite uncomfortable, therefore, he just hoped that they could bury this topic from here on out and he wouldn't have to think twice about the shit he'd said right now. "So you're satisfied? I'm glad, but I'm ... not cold, that's nice." Laughter left his lips a tad bit too often in the blondes presence, but he didn't mind, especially not right now when he tried to get back in those clothes all the while the blanket was giving him some leftover warmth - and with that, he soon was dressed as neatly as he could pull off in this darkness, though, there was nothing else that he needed - and thus, he started picking up the blankets that they'd brought - or trying to, until he felt himself land face first in the grass, as he stumbled over one of them. "I take it back, I'm clumsy."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "You were the one telling me you slipped on some eyes and almost bled to death!", Caelan replied laughing and on top of that Ronan seemed like someone not exactly in tune with his body, he probably slipped more often than he wanted to admit. The more reason for Caelan to take care of him as often as he could. It was a shame he couldn't always be here, but he'd try to be by Ronans side more days than he was not, though that would surely prove to be difficult. At least he got his parents to agree that he could come with him to Fhaergus for a while and though he should do some work there, Caelan had other plans for the Alster sprout. "You wouldn't annoy me with telling me what bothers you.", he replied with a bright smile. He wanted Ronan to know that he didn't have to hold anything back if he didn't want to. Caelan wouldn't judge him, at least he couldn't think of a scenario in which he would.

"If I could forfeit my title and instead become your knight, you know I'd do it.", Caelan chuckled. "Besides, I always wanted to be a knight anyway. I feel like that's a job suiting me much better than sitting behind a desk to read a million requests." He'd go wherever he was sent or stayed to protect Ronan, wouldn't that be nice? Though he had to admit there was nothing much going on from which he would need to protect him. "I don't intend to get close to any girl, I know it doesn't feel right anyway. Bein with you feels right." He wondered if he was able to just stop and tell Cameron that their double date times were over. He would want an explanation, so Caelan needed to make up a girlfriend which he for whatever reason couldn't introduce to his friends and who was never around. This was getting tiresome. "Well I will be going to hold you and dance with you, it'll be fun." Right, at the masquerade he could introduce him, but then this persona would never appear again. Caelan was dressed by now and was about to move the bottles somewhere safe so they could pick up the blankets, when Ronan suddenly lost balance. Caelan was too late to catch him, some knight he was, all he could do is offer Ronan a hand after he already had hit the floor. "Are you alright?", he asked, he didn't have to prove his point so quickly, but Caelan didn't intend to rub that inRonans face, instead he just smiled at him and offered to pull him back to his feet.
    • "Because that happens sometimes, no matter what I try", he explained and that was, without a doubt, the truth - Ronan even laughed about it, despite there being nothing funny about the situation, or death or his own downfall at his very own hands. Frankly, this was a culmination of his own shortcomings, of a world that he could no longer stand to entertain and yet, he just accepted it for what it was. They both were going to be dukes soon, so that meant that the time they got to spend together was limited, as much as he hated to admit it, it was - and that, also, meant that he'd have to survive without his boyfriend at some point, whether he wanted to or not, he'd need to. It was stupid, maybe even daring, to consider a life that he spend in reclusion, that he didn't want anyone else to see. Frankly, Ronan of Alster was nothing more than a person that would have liked to be left alone by the world that simply entertained his existence and the sins that were tied into it, but for now - and especially for this moment - he didn't gain anything from it and he wouldn't do anything like that, not anytime soon again. "I know, because I can't even really annoy you when I'm honest. The only thing you dislike is when I compare myself to dirt or worse, I got that", he calmly mumbled, more to himself than to Caelan.

"I'm fine, I'm just clumsy", he grumbled, grabbing the hand and allowing the blonde to pull him back onto his feet. Ronan was not opposed to receiving help, sometimes he just wished that he was someone, not himself, but someone else - a person that knew how to deal with themselves, that had an idea how life itself worked or how to get around any of those annoying obstacles. But he didn't, in fact, he very much was who he had been raised to be and that meant, for better or worse, that all in all, he still was himself, but not who he could have been. "That way, you'd never have to leave my side again either, no?", he suddenly mused, picking up the blanket that he had tripped over and just awkwardly smiled at Caelan, as if this was some sort of apology for not holding his hand longer. Instead, he stood there, with their blankets tucked into his arms and was, actually, ready to go - he hadn't tied his boots properly, but he'd pull them off of his legs any second anyway, so there was no need to - and he didn't care enough, either. "I'll take it as a promise then that you'll stop being a whore?", he laughed, before leaning over to the blonde and pressing his head against his chest. "The masquerade will be nice, but lets get inside for now, yes?" Ronan had no idea if he was just feeling drained, void of life or as if he was just getting tired, but whatever it was, it wasn't going to help him.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "So you are clumsy!", Caelan gave back with a heartful laughter. Ronan was once more being cute while he tried making himself seem something he wasn't. There wasn't anything wrong with being clumsy in the first place, Caelan just needed to be on the lookout and catch Ronan if he was about to fall. At least better than this time, he didn't do a very good job so far, did he now? "Do you want me to get annoyed?", Caelan asked with a grin, Ronan almost seemed upset at the fact that he wasn't easily able to achieve that as much as he couldn't easily make Caelan mad. Well that was just who he was, especially when he loved someone, either as platonic friend or as his actual boyfriend. He was ready to take a lot of shit if necessary and he was ready to listen if Ronan needed to talk. That was kind of his new job as his boyfriend, right? Besides, he was tired of being angry at people, he'd done that too much for too long and now he felt like he was able to understand a lot of struggles people had better, therefor he knew that life wasn't always easy and when he reacted with violence, maybe Ronan did with talking himself down. Yes he didn't like him doing that, but he wasn't exactly annoyed or mad, he felt helpless so if anything he annoyed himself.

"I'm sorry. Next time I'll catch you.", Caelan apologized, but he hadn't seen this one coming. Well now he was grabbing what he could of their things and also pulled some more from Ronans responsibility. "You'll just fall over your laces again at least stuff them inside your boot.", Caelan chuckled and tried to manage all the things in his arms, in the end they were ready to go. "Well I wouldn't be allowed to leave your side, right? After all I need to stay by your side to protect you.", Caelan smiled, oh yes if he hadn't been a future Duke, he would have signed up for the post as Ronans knight right away. "I was never a whore. Í didn't take money for sleeping with anyone, did I?", Caelan replied sticking out his tongue for a moment. He was rather surprised when Ronan came towards him only to cuddle him for a few moments. Well Caelan couldn't hug him, which was annoying, but he still liked the gesture. "Alright, you look like you could use some sleep.", the blonde nodded and as soon as Ronan stepped back again they made their way back into the big building and towards Caelans room.
    • "Always will and always have been, if you insist on knowing!", Ronan said with a somewhat annoyed grimace and stuck his tongue out, as if he were a little kid trying to agitated some sort of big dog, that just lay there and had never harmed anyone. In fact, he was almost certain that whatever he was doing had no effect on dear Caelan anyway, instead, the two of them were just competing for something that wasn't even supposed to be won. "Maybe, just a teensy little bit. See what your tipping point is, that's all", the smaller figure concluded upon being asked and gave an exasperated sigh, now that he stood there and found himself face to face with most of the truth - he was much smaller than Caelan, both in height in physique and while he hated himself for that, he also knew that at least one of those things were his fault and nothing that a bit of training couldn't change and yet, he wasn't even considering that most of the time. "But in all honesty, it seems so hard to annoy you, oh dear Caelan of Fhaergus, I feel at a loss of ideas." Wasn't thinking his strong suit between the two of them? Seemingly, the only thing he was good at was planning elaborate suicide scenarios and never using a single one.

"No need to, you can't do everything for me", he chuckled. Caelan would probably try anyway and Ronan could hear the faint clattering of some silverware, or porcelain, or the shattering of glass against some hard floor, just because his boyfriend insisted on trying his earnest, on being someone he didn't need to be and yet, he was trying anyway. "So be it, I'm not touching those boots from hell again today. They can, quite frankly, kiss my ass." Ronan sometimes had no idea why he wore them to begin with, but they looked good on him and were comfortable, once he went over the tedious process of getting into them, tying them up and then figuring out how he'd not tire of walking around in them all day long because that had happened and it was no fun, not at all. "Having you as a personal knight would be nice, but no, you had to go ahead and be born as a fellow noble with no older siblings, either. Shame on you", he joked around, giving the blonde a grin right thereafter. Caelan couldn't be at fault for that, he'd never be and that was fine as was, after all, he couldn't shoulder everything. "So you're just admitting to being a noble mattress instead, classy, Caelan, classy", he chuckled and wanted to reach for his tongue to pull on it, but instead, he just showed him his once more as well. This was all fun and games between two idiots, no? "Mhm, and you do, too - off to hell we go!" Another declaration, that - albeit meant as a joke - wasn't much of one when he thought about how much he hated being there sometimes. In the end, however, they brought themselves and everything else back to the mansion, slipping back in through the door they'd left and finding themselves in Caelans room. "Now, Caelan of Fhaergus, what will it be?", he asked, as he dumped some of the stuff back onto the bed.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Ronan was kind of cute as he stood there, trying to stand his ground but pointing his tongue at Caelan like a child. He started laughing for a bit. "My tipping point? Why would you need to find that?", he asked and he wasn't sure himself where it lay. After all Ronan probably could do almost everything and Caelan wouldn't mind, because he at least thought he understood his motivations and reason behind his actions. Maybe other people were able to push him somewhere he hadn't been for a while, but even when Ronans father had been a complete asshole and had made Ronan feel uncomfortable for quite some time, he just sat there and outmanoeuvred him with the help of Ronans mother. He didn't yell, he didn't gift him a gaze, he didn't fight. And it was good, wasn't it? If he had gotten agitated, if he had yelled he would have just gotten into trouble and he would have gotten Ronan into trouble too. "Maybe you're just not meant to annoy me.", he chuckled why would he even do that. Sure in the hut he tried to get him to do something like that, instead of just telling Caelan, in the end he had annoyed him back then, didn't he? But it didn't end all too well for Ronan.

"Well but I try.", Caelan promised like the big old idiot he was. What else would he do, he actually wanted nothing more than to protect Ronan and help him whenever he needed help. Why? He didn't know and he didn't care. For now it had to suffice that he carried back most of their things and in the end they were back in Caelans room again. "I'm really sorry.", he smiled, being Ronans knight would have been nice, wouldn't it? Maybe in another life or something, if there was anything like that to begin with. "Well...", was all he then said simply because he didn't have an argument. He wondered why Ronan was talking about Caelan and all those girls so often. "Does it bother you?", he asked with a raised eyebrow. Caelan probably was able to steal much more firsts from Ronan than the other way around, maybe that was a little bit unfair? For now he got rid o all the stuff he had carried. The blanket that lay on the ground was set aside, while the other were placed on the bed. Caelan wasn't sure when and how to deal with the somewhat dirty one, that was full of earth and grass, but they'd figure that out at some point. For now he looked at Ronan with a smile. "Sleep? Or do you have something else in mind?"
    • Was it really just that? Now they were so close to Caelans bed, so close to safety and another night without any bad dreams and now he stood there, fully clothed and unable to do anything but yawn. "If I need to piss you off at some point, it'll be useful." Not that he had a reason to do that to Caelan, someone so soft and lovable as he was didn't deserve anyones wrath, but ... it was stupid too think about it for too long, wasn't it? Ronan would figure something out, not that he stood there, kicked his boots off and started to rid himself of his clothes. The truth was that none of this was going to help him and his relationship with Caelan, instead he'd eventually find himself at the wrong side of a blade if he kept insisting on doing stupid things, all because he felt like should. Naivety, however, wouldn't get him anywhere anyway and he wondered if there even was away to annoy the everloving fuck out of the blonde - he seemed like nothing could disturb him to begin with and for that, Ronan admired him somewhat. "You're right, maybe I'm suppsed to be the apple of your eye, who knows?", Ronan added, but ... that wasn't going to do anything, either. The two of them surely had another way to deal with those things, hadn't they?

"And you overdo it, dork", the noble chuckled, knowing fully well what belonged into the bed and what didn't - which also was why he stood there, half-dressed, and threw anything that was even remotely full of earth and dirt out of the bed. Not having to explain to much would probably be the best, especially now that he waltzed over to the door and locked it, just in case, before he pulled any of the curtains shut, too, and all that illuminated them was the orange flame, feeding away on the wood in the fireplace. "There's always a next time, I'd assume", he chuckled, but there wasn't, not in this case. Another time, another life - and yet, that didn't mean that they'd ever meet again, or that they would be able to understand one another if they met. Wasn't that tiring? Ronan rid himself of most of his clothes, save for his underwear and the shirt that dangled from his shoulders, now that he crossed the distance between him and his boyfriend again. "Slightly", he admitted. "It's just that I wish I'd be the one that got to ruin you, but it's too late for that now", he admitted. Caelan had already been ruined a long time ago and there was nothing he could do about that, or anything else - except unbutton the nobles shirt again. "No, sleeping is fine with me, but get out of your clothes first", Ronan begged, now that both of his hands were helping out with that.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Why would you need to do any of that silly?", Caelan asked with a smile on his face, but he had to shake his head, why was Ronan so obsessed with finding something that tipped him off? "Do you want to make me angry?", he asked. Maybe that was it, because in a way Caelan was always too caring and soft to him? maybe he wanted it more rough, he already told Caelan about some of his fantasies but the blonde hadn't complied yet, because maybe he was scared of hurting Ronan and all in all, he didn't really want to use his strength against someone he truly loved. Now he stodd there asking himself what Ronan wished for and if he was able to give that to him, did Ronan even know? Well anyway, he was buzzing around, moving the blankets, undressing and closing door and curtains to lock themselves in, as if to make them save, wasn't that Caelans job? He wasn't versed with what he had to do as a boyfriend, yes there were girl, a lot of them, but nothing more than a night with them, Ronan was different and Caelan constantly found himself wondering how he could be a better boyfriend to him.

"Am I too clingy?", he asked watching Ronan throw the dirty stuff on the ground, however they'd explain those, but why not tell the truth? They ventured outside to sit there, no big deal, right? He wondered why he didn't get a move on himself, instead he just watched Ronan undress halfway, only to then run around the room and Caelan still just stood there, until Ronan came up close to him. "Ruin me? You can still do that, I've just had boring bad sex and nothing of the sorts described in your books.", Caelan replied and watched down his own chest when Ronans fingers started to unbutton his shirt. "You're sounding desperate.", Caelan chuckled, let Ronan handle his shirt and moved his own hand on Ronans neck. He gently pulled him closer while leaning down, he kissed him softly and let his fingers feel the soft skin that lead to Ronans shoulder and there he pushed off the fabric of his shirt. He brushed over the skin on his shoulder, then let go again to look down on his own shirt. "I didn't tell you to stop...", he chuckled and let go of Ronan then to first get rid of his shoes, then his pants and finally he got out of the unbuttoned shirt, just throwing everything on the floor for now.
    • "You get me mad with the silliest of things, I want to do that, too", Ronan replied, puffing his cheeks and looking like he was pissed off about something yet again, even though he didn't even need to. Happiness was, well, this - wasn't it? At least he could laugh about his own stupidity right after that words had come out of his mouth. "Sometimes, but only because I think you like being teased, sometimes, that is." Ronan was taking this the wrong way, wasn't he? Caelan didn't enjoy the teasing in such a way that it would eventually tip him off, he did actually like being teased, didn't he? That was, yet again, enough to have his fellow noble question why and more importantly how - not that it bothered him, not that he was supposed to care too much in the first place, but all of this just culminated in him wondering why that was and how Caelan was able to just wrap him around his finger like that and then piss him off in the next two sentences. "No. You are clingy, but I don't mind." On the other hand, he sometimes seemed apathetic to any touch that he could possibly receive, meaning that Caelan - most likely - had a hard time figuring out what he even wanted to do with him, but there was time for both of them to come up with something, wasn't there?

The room was someone tidy, well, as tidy as it could be when nothing but lingering flames were illuminating the scene, their clothes n blankets were partially strewn around the floor and both the moon and the stars, as well as the people that could just barge in here if they wanted to, were all but locked out. "And why do you think we won't have boring bad sex? Probably because you have something to compare it to and you are setting your expectations high", the noble answered, almost grumbled, now that he got close to Caelan and ... what was he even doing? He wanted to sleep, that much he understood, but why was he ... they ... "I'm not desperate, I just want to get out of those clothes and finally get some good nights sleep." Ronan had felt like he'd been run over for the past few days, mainly because the work kept piling up and all of his free time was devoted to caring for both Caelan and himself, which wasn't too bad, but all the worrying had exhausted him, much like a lot of other things. Maybe it was why it felt so good to be kissed softly, being even closer to the only person he truly cared about and why Caelans fingers, for once, didn't feel like they'd burn themselves into his skin, but rather like static, like something he wanted oh so desperately to never stop. "And you're acting desperate", he chastised his boyfriend, though he soon was met with something else. "Haven't you gotten enough treats for today? Or do you still want to go on and get some more?" Was he tired? Or actually starting to get shitfaced from all the alcohol they'd lugged around and that he had drunken most of? "I could use another shot for confidence", he mumbled, only to get close to Caelan again, just like that and actually found himself tiptoeing to give the blonde a well-deserved kiss. "Stop being so damn tall."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "I don't intend to make you mad though, not seriously at least.", Caelan replied and his voice sounded almost a little bit worried. Was he saying too much sometimes? Sure they fought, but that mostly was because of important reasons, while Caelans stupid comments were only for fun. Did he upset Ronan with those for real, or did he simply worry too much? "Being teased and being angry are two different things.", he explained with a calm smile on his face, this discussion was kind of weird. Why did they talk about something like that anyway? "You know I want to give you what you want and I want to be who you like me to be, right? If there is something truly bothering you, or something you wish for, just tell me straight out, I'll try to make you happy." He wasn't sure what of this discussion was just fun and what was not, if there was any chance Ronan was unhappy with something about Caelan, he'd try to change it for him. He still smiled, but he also searched for answers in Ronans barely lit face. "Good then. You know, if you need some time for yourself, you can just tell me. And if you want to relax in Fhaergus, I can go off on my own for a while, if you just want to... I don't know... read a book, or draw?"

"I know we won't have boring bad sex, because what we've done so far wasn't broing and bad either. I've had that with girls and it was just odd and unsatisfying and I loved none of them, actually I felt nothing romantic towards them. With you it's different. I didn't necessrly dislike kissing most of them, but I love kissing you, you know? I think your expactations are the ones high by the way, because you read way too much about it. I probably can't live up to that.", Caelan explained. If he'd been able to take back all his escapades, he'd done it if it made Ronan feel better. Nothing came of those anyway, nothing of it was important to Caelan, but Ronan was. "I'm not desperate, I just wanted a kiss.", Caelan replied with a smile and looked at Ronan. "And I don't expect any treat, just that you unbutton my shirt fully and not leave two buttons closed." He laughed a little bit and looked at Ronan who seemed almost troubled. "What do you need confidence for?", he asked, but soon enough was met with a kiss. He leaned down and his arms found their way around Ronans body, only to lift him up so they'd both had the same size, even though Ronans feet didn't touch the ground anymore. Was this bad for his wound? Probably, but Caelan didn't care. "Continue growing!", he gave back with a laugh and gave Ronan another short kiss. Then he carried him to the bed like this and eventually let him down on it.
    • "I know that, you just like having fun", he answered and that was all there had been to it. They both liked fun, as stupid as it sounded and they both didn't want to think too much about too many things. Whatever that culminated in, well, Ronan couldn't quite tell, but what he was able to discern was mainly that neither he or Caelan should care too much and that it was stupid to now assume things that shouldn't even be happening in the first place. "Both are fine", he replied, meaning it. Sure, getting teased about something stupid wasn't always fun, but Caelan made his entire existence a bit more fun than it could be, so Ronan wasn't going to shut him down, not over something as pathetic as that. "Stop it, you are making me happy. I can live with a bit of teasing, so stop worrying and don't think too much about it", he replied, shaking his head and smiling back at the blonde. If he could have, he would have snatched a kiss, but this seemed to not only be the wrong situation, he also didn't want to kiss everything better that he thought was an obstacle in his life. The blonde was enough for him, he didn't need more, that ... was all there was to it. "We don't see each other for weeks at a time and I'll be lonely all winter, so you won't get away from me that easily!" Though, he'd have enough of Caelan this particular winter, no?

"Caelan, I really don't have too high expectations. I'll get what I get and if it's anything like we've had before, it'll be like I want it to be - now, look at you, being a worryward!", Ronan exclaimed - that was his job! Tonight, however, they both were silly and seemingly taking things from one another, so it only followed that they should at least try being someone they weren't and at least make bad attempts at cheering the other up. Ronan knew that both Caelan and him were a mess, that they had nothing more but themselves to work with and that the only thing that they should be coming up with was a good way on how to sugarcoat their nightly encounters if they got found out. "So, you were desperate, but for a kiss?", he teased the blonde, but soon enough, he was letting out a 'woah' upon being lifted up without a warning. What a menace! And yet, he couldn't help but smile at his beloved, nothing more than that and let himself be coddled. "That's what you wanted? Naw, you could have let me finish that then!" Now, he felt somewhat stupid and all thanks to two buttons that wouldn't do as he wanted them to. "Wooing you", that's all that confidence was for and as if on cue, he winked at his boyfriend from his current position, that soon shifted and he found himself in bed after a kiss, to which he stuck his tongue out at Caelan and patted the space next to him. "I doubt I'll keep growing - and now get in here and keep me warm!"

    • "Mhh... if you say so.", Caelan concluded, maybe he did worry too much, maybe there was nothing he did wrong and if he did, he already apologized for it, such as being mad at Ronan for coping with his life the only way he knew how. Maybe he did worry too much, maybe being who he was was just enough, like it always had been. Ronan seemed happy with him, he seemed like he was able to take a break and it was rather easy to make him smile, although he initially stated something different. Caelan should just believe what Ronan told him, believe that he was fine the way he was and that Ronan wished for nothing more, at least not now. Caelan smiled at him, that was actually all he wanted, right? Then he even laughed a little, he was happy Ronan didn't have enough of him and that he wanted the blonde to stay with him and not give him time. Ronan seemed a little bit stressed out though, because he had all this work and because he also had Caelan around, who let him be sometimes but then Ronan didn't want to just let him sit in his bed and be bored.

"I just want it to be right...", Caelan mumbled smiling, he knew he talked and thought about that too much, that in the end nothing could go wrong, because they both loved each other and they both were able to tell and show how they felt about certain things. They'd sleep with each other eventually and it had to be good, whatever they tried it would just be perfect, right? Happy about those thoughts Caelan brought Ronan over to the bed, but shook his head. "I wasn't desperate. I just wanted a kiss.", re repeated and laughed, because Ronan again was cute. This time together was great, wasn't it? And every little second made Caelans stomach fill with butterflies, this was almost ridiculous. Either way, he now looked at the spot next to Ronan. Before joining him though, he took a blanket and with it he took his place next to Ronan and wrapped said blanket around both of them. Next he wrapped his arms around Ronan, cuddling him and moving close to him. That was really all he needed, feeling his tender body in his arms like that and knowing that he'd be here tomorrow too. "You've already managed 'wooing' me, you know?", he chuckled and pressed his node against Ronans cheek. "If you want to keep growing, you have to eat your food, instead of feeding it to me."
    • "You don't? Who are you and what did you do to Caelan?", he suddenly asked. Was all of this just some foul play? Ronan couldn't quite understand, but he wasn't going to question it more than he had to - he was too tired, too worn and they already had had their fun for the night, too. Tomorrow was another day, there would be other opportunities and there would be better things to do, wouldn't there? "I guess ... it needs to be right. After all, you should enjoy it too." If only one of them was having fun, that wouldn't be all that fun anyway and he was sure that everything and more, all of what he wanted, Caelan would give to him, if the time was right - or if he took matters into his own hands. Surely, they could reach an agreement somewhere down the line, but until then, Ronan of Alster was going to have to wait and he'd have to figure out how he'd best present himself - the thought alone was odd and why was that? Was he embarrassed? Probably. Sex wasn't a foreign concept to Caelan, yet he was a virgin - a demanding one - and he didn't even know what he got himself into. "So you weren't even desperate for that kiss? Pah!", he responded, faking his own anger - Caelan hadn't made him mad and by now, it was already ridiculous to believe that he'd ever do that again, except if he was trying to tease him.

Why was looking at that stupid smile so contagious anyway? The blonde had a way with his words, with the things he said, the stupid stuff he did and yet, Ronan found himself blushing, feeling invigorated, maybe even a bit too attracted to this guy, especially when he tried a bit too hard to be nice and help him adjust. "Sure, I was desperate enough and sucked you off after drinking some wine - that can't be that hard", he suddenly chuckled, but he liked the fact that Caelans warmth was encompassing him, that he found himself in this bed and not alone in his own - all of this was better than the loneliness Ronan usually prefered. What else did he want? Nothing, he was worn, he was tired and he'd rather descend into deep dreams right now, like this, in Caelans arms - that was something he couldn't experience all that often, so he'd cherish it, somehow. "... but you need it more than me, you need to get well soon. And also, I'd rather not empty the entire plate, that just ... hurts", he sighed, but he eased into the hug he'd received, eased into the touch that felt like it had been needed, even though he could always have it, as long as the blonde was there. "Alright then, no more talking about making me less of a shrimp. You can reach the top shelf for me anyway. And now, sleep well", he giggled, before he closed his eyes - wow, he'd been really worn out, hadn't he?
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Having sex with Ronan would probably not be as easy as he thought, or maybe it was just the opposite. He had no idea how that would went, how he'd feel, how Ronan would feel and where to start. He didn't even know what roles each of them would assume, but thinking too har about it probably led nowhere. It would happen when the time was right, when they both felt like the time had come, when they both were comfortable. For now sleep was on their agenda and it would be good sleep as long as Caelan was able to hold Ronan like that, when he could cuddle him the whole night. He held him tight, but let him room to breath, still he probably never hugged anybody else just like this. He never wanted to have anybody this close, usually he hugged whoever he spent his night with because it was the right thing to do and first thing in the morning, he just bailed. But not with Ronan, this felt good and he wouldn't let Ronan go so easily. "YOu'll do great...", he mumbled. "And I do just fine with the food I get." Ronan worried too much, sure Caelan was able to eat a lot, but Ronans family wasn't poor, there always were seconds if he just asked for it. "Fine shrimp. Good night...", Caelan chuckled and gave his boyfriend a short good night kiss, before he actually closed his eyes.

The next day Caelan got woken up by some frantic knocking on his door. That wouldn't be the doctor asking why the door was locked, would it? No, because the voice from the other side sounded unfamiliar and more importantly like the voice of a child, demanding to see Ronan who his away here for days. Caelan got up pretty quickly, he always had been good at that right, Ronan not so much. He'd buy him some time to get dressed, for now Caelan grabbed the next best shirt, threw it around his shoulders and only closed the last two buttons while already walking to the door. Once there he unlocked it and opened it only to look at a face he hadn't seen before and that also hadn't seen Caelan up close before, especially not with that hideous wound right across his face. Caelan stepped outside, the boy quiet now made room - good. The blonde closed the door so Ronan had time to adjust, to dress and act like he already had been working and not spending the night in Caelans bed. "Ah. You must be Ronans brother.", Caelan greeted that young boy with a smile who fell awfully quiet once he saw him. Well, the wound probably wasn't pretty and that probably also had been the reason he wasn't there for the dinner last night. "So what can I do for you?", he asked raising a brow, as if he didn't know the answer already.
    • His night was fine, it ... was more than that, right? Caelan had done a good job at keeping him warm, at keeping him close and Ronan wondered if he could sleep in this bed for a few more days, but that was silly, he had work to finish and his own bed, there was no need to attend to Caelan the entire time, pester him for hours on end and eventually ruin that face of his once more, just because he could and just because he was somewhat greedy all of a sudden. The knocking at the door didn't actually wake him, it only was when he heard the voice from beyond and he felt Caelan move, grumbling because a significant amount of warmth had just left him and because he was still naked and he was not willing to interact with anyone beyond himself and the blonde today. How late was it? What did he care, he wanted some more time to sleep and that, on the other hand meant, that he just had to curl up in bed, hug the blanket and the pillow and be salty about the fact that he'd been ditched ... for what, exactly? Whatever, his dream had been nice enough to just dwell back into it, but ... he really needed to get up, didn't he? At least he managed to sit up and stare at his shaky hands with blurry vision - not this shit again.

Declan had no idea what he wanted - normally, he'd just pester his mother and ask, or even his father, but neither of them were in their bedroom right now and because Ronan wasn't where he usually was, his next best guess was that he was watching over that friend of his, the one that was staying all the way out here in the guest wing. Wasn't it scary? To come all the way here on his own and his sole companion was a little plush teddy bear that he had grabbed by his arm and now was dragging around. Sure, his father had told him he was too old for that, that he couldn't always take the bear everywhere, but he always did anyway and now he stood there and knocked on that door, hoping that Ronan would come out and have some time to play with him. Instead, however, his friend showed up and ... that scar made him look scarier than he was probably, but he'd never been good at talking with strangers, especially when they weren't his age, so he was averting his gaze for a second, clammoring that stuffed animal of his before looking up. Woah, he was tall! "Mhm!", he replied, he sure was, wasn't he? "I, uh, wanted to ... ask if my big brother ... had time to, uh, play games with me?", Declain explained to Caelan. "Or ... or is he busy too?"

    • Declan and Ronan looked pretty much alike didn't they? The dark hair, the dark eyes and the somewhat scared look as soon as they met a stranger. Well his brother was a little kid, it was okay to be scared of strangers, actually it was a good thing and Caelan also knew, that even Ronan stared at him because of that nasty thing on his face. It'll heal and look better, but for now he probably looked like a monster out of a childrens book. Ronans brother was at least as much of a shrimp as Ronan and he didn't look as if he was growing very tall either, but that was alright. Caelan was even to tall for his older brother, so now the little mini shrimp had to bend his neck to even look at the blonde stranger, all the while holding his little plush teddy closer and closer. Caelan actually bent his knees to be a little smaller and almost at same height as Declan if not a little bit below him and he rested his arms casually on his legs. Caelan couldn't let that kid barge in there though, not when Ronan was lying in Caelans bed almost naked, that would even be confusing if one of them was a girl, especially for such a young boy, that was probably why Caelan rather lied to him. "You know, your brother's pretty busy, he doesn't spend much time with me either, he's always busy with his papers.", he smiled and tried to make eye contact, but maybe he really shouldn't, because even if smaller he still was scary to him, huh?

"I'm Caelan.", he tried to approach the little boy, simply because making friends with Ronans brother couldn't hurt, right? Besides, he always wanted a little brother himself. "And you and your little stuffed friend, are...?", he asked to get a little more words out of him. Actually he wanted to tell Ronan to get out here and spend some time with him, now that he came all the way back here, but Caelan had to be enough for now at least, he didn't know if he did a good jo though. He didn't meet children very often to be honest. But he didn't look scary in general, right? Before all that his face was a pretty trusting one, right? At least he hoped so. "What kind of games did you want to play with him? Maybe I could help out, if you don't mind?", he suggested. Playing some board game or hide and seek wouldn't be too bad right? And not all he said was a lie, Ronan was very busy all the time and maybe he was happy if Caelan left him alone for a few hours so he could catch up on the work he actually had to do, without Caelan looking bored or needy. They could spend time at night, or when they'd have their little vacation in Fhaergus.
    • Where was Ronan? His friend had shut the door behind him and even if he tried, he couldn't really see past him or a sturdy plank of wood, so maybe this was for the best and he'd have to make do with this guy, right? Not that he couldn't, that wasn't the problem, but he wasn't sure how to treat him either, or if his brother was going to poke his head out of the door eventually, to either pull him inside or actually shoo him off - whatever the case, Declan was sure that he wanted to do something to prevent the latter and that he, very much, would actually like to play some games with anyone that was available to do so. "Uh ... yes. Ronan is always ... always busy ...", Declan mumbled and yet, despite the fact that Caelan came all the down to be not that impressive and tall, Declan wasn't sure if he was liking that. Not because he felt mocked, but actually because that meant that the blonde was closer and ack, wasn't he kind of scary? But ... but, there was no need to be scared, if he was Ronans friend, he had to be a nice guy, right? Right about now, he actually wanted to run off, but he didn't, that wouldn't make a good first impression and he'd always been told that first impressions were important.

"N-Nice to m-meet you! ... I'm Declan", the boy blabbered, he didn't even know what on earth he wanted to do - Caelan was, what his brothers friend was called and ... that was pretty similar to his own name, right? That, actually, was somewhat reassuring, for whatever weird reason his little head could come up with. "Oh, and this ... this is, uh, ..." Did his bear have a name? Did he ever think about it? He probably didn't, or he forgot, maybe his mother knew, so for now, he only shook his head, didn't say why he did, maybe big scary Caelan got the hint, despite not being all that scary anymore. "You ... you don't have to ..." Not that he didn't want to play, but someone like Caelan was pretty much a stranger to him and he could have just come up with something to play beforehand, but he hadn't, because he had banked on maybe sitting on Ronans desk or lap and watching him doodle silly things for him while he side-eyed some of those papers, doodled some weird stuff on them and put them on one of two piles. "I ... uhm ... but ... you can ... if you want to?", Declan added before looking up, but he probably looked somewhat confused - still, there was no sign of his brother.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Well wasn't Ronans brother kind of cute? He was well behaved and not so grumpy as his older brother, but maybe that came with age. Either way, he still seemed a little bit intimidated by Caelan and he didn't quite now how to change that and cross the gab between those two. Man, girls were easier to handle and even guys his age were, he'd never been at a loss for words with Ronan, not in a situation like this anyway. "And still he takes his time for you, doesn't he? That's very nice of him.", Caelan smiled, didn't someone once told him his smile was contagious? Maybe it worked, though maybe it made that not yet even a scar thing o his face look even more scary. Actually if Declan agreed to just spend some time with Caelan instead, would the doc be mad at the blonde Lord for not lying down once more? He actually didn't feel like it, he was good! Nothing hurt much and when he was able to carry Ronan around, he could as well play with a little child. Well that was... if he wanted to? He wouldn't force him, but he certainly couldn't let Declan inside his room right now, not when he didn't know what was going on in there.

The young boy introduced himself as Declan, well and asking him an easy question seemed to make him open up a little bit, though the question maybe wasn't that easy, because the name of the bear remained a mystery. "How old are you?", he asked instead, Ronan probably told him, but Caelan apparently forgot. "I know I don't have to!", Caelan chuckled and shook his head. "But Ronan won't play with me either, so we're both pretty much fu-... at the same predicament. Why not help each other out then?", he explained and it was again kind of true. Ronan would wake up eventually and if he didn't start frantically searching for the blonde, maybe he actually got some work done and would be a little bit less stressed out then. Declan actually looked up at him now and he probably asked himself what that big scary dude even wanted from him? Dealing with kids wasn't easy at all, was it? "Okay, how abooouut we both give Ronan some time to work and in a few hours we check on him together. If he refuses to play with you then, I'll help you out and you won't have to put up with me anymore. Does that sound good?", he asked with another smile on his face. "I know I'm not Ronan, but I'll try my best."
    • Caelans smile was nice, wasn't it? It did make Declan feel as if Caelan wasn't that much of a scary person, as if he wasn't going to bite his head off any second or as if that scar of his was the contagious thing about him and yet, he still didn't smile at him, he just looked confused, but no longer all that scared, which wasn't bad, right? "Yes! ... I wish he had ... more time to play with me ...", the boy somewhat complained, but such was the life of a noble and if one was the son of Darragh, well, there wouldn't be much to enjoy, as Ronan sometimes said, or did he? What did that even mean? His dad wasn't a bad person, but he did give his older brother a lot of work to do and that meant that he, for some reason, was always busy doing something that didn't involve Declan, which, in turn, made Declan feel somewhat left out. Not even his dad had time for him, just because he had something to take care of and his mother was nowhere to be found, which wasn't too bad, he wasn't a little baby anymore that needed his mommy, he'd do just fine and if no one wanted to play with him, he'd go on an adventure all on his own ... and his bear ... and maybe a maid?

"Me?", he suddenly asked, tilting his head - did Caelan ask how old he was? He could count, he wasn't a baby anymore, but that was fine, he was, uh ... "Ten!", Declan suddenly exclaimed, he could count to ten, ten was an easy number and it would take some time before his next birthday happened, so that was a bummer. "And you?" To him, the blonde didn't look old, maybe he was the age of his brother, or was he a tad bit older than him? Declan couldn't quite say, but he didn't care, not that he had cared about telling Caelan his age in the first place either. "We're ... what? Fu?" What had the stranger meant? And what on earth was a predibamemt? Sounded weird, but then again, all those grown ups and their weird words didn't make much sense to him, especially when he wasn't sure in what context he should use those himself. Maybe blabbering after Caelan would help? "You want to? Yay!" Now, Declan was actually smiling at Caelan - and he used his free hand to grab one of Caelans fingers, there wasn't much more room for a second one, and drag him down the hallway, or at least attempt to. "What ... do you want to play? Hide and seek? Uh ... tag? I also ... have some boardgames? ... Whenever I play with Ronan, ... he, uh, draws stuff for me."
