    • "Well... I always kinda am, so I guess that should be possible.", Caelan said and for the first time he was a little bit unsure if he really should do that. Maybe it was his father getting to him, telling him he was rude and loud and impolite and he should better stay away from important people when he wasn't present to do the talking, so he didn't ruin anything. Maybe Caelan was actually scared he was right, but hell, if Ronan said it was fine, then he rather believed in the guy actually being friends with the crown prince and not his father. Caelan cuddled Ronan, did he trust him too much too fast? No, they both had to be genuine, after all, if what they did was discovered, they both would face a death sentence, not just Caelan, therefor there was no reason for Ronan to lie to him. Cuddling him was all he wanted and Ronan seemed to have the same need, they were apart for only a few hours and yet, Caelan had felt like he was missing something. Nowhere felt whole again and he didn't want Ronan to leave again... he would eventually tomorrow though. "was it your plan when you invited me to your room?", Caelan asked, being curious as always. After all Ronan had a crush before... but the risk was probably way too high.

"Tomorrow morning would sound better, but afternoon is fine. I'll meet up with my friends then and tell them... something I don't know. Maybe I even tell them I have an affair more serious than usual? They don't need to know it's you, right?", he chuckled, but he was better off saying goodbye. It wasn't like him to leave early so being honest seemed like the best approach. Well... as honest as he was able to be here. Saying he was sick would just have them raise their eyebrows. Caelan looked at Ronan when the topic shiftet, but his curiosity grew only more. "Books?", he asked, as if he didn't understand. "What like... lexicons? Or more like novels?" And what was described in those? And why? And where the hell did Ronans father have them from? Caelan was pretty sure he wasn't the only one wanting to see those. He felt Ronans face and especially his cold nose pressing at his chest while he was still thinking about what exactly was described and what Ronan was knowing... However, they'd probably have time for that later too, for now Caelan moved his hands slowly over Ronans back, cuddling was all he needed today, after all the lack of alcohol made even him a little bit more nervous about any sound they could make when doing... well whatever. "Do you want to sleep?", he asked because of Ronans tired sounding mumbling. He didn't have anything against it.
    • "Just try, he won't bite you, I promise. And he also won't reprimand you, or hate you", Ronan explained. This talk was getting somewhat boring, of course Henry wasn't without flaws, but he'd not order for Caelan to be hanged immediately if he slipped up in front of him - that was definitely not like him and if this kind of conversation helped the blonde ease up, it was only fair to have it. "Your friends didn't kill me for being me, so please, don't worry about it, okay?" In that regard, the blonde truly reacted like a puppy - eager to try something new out, but once he was faced with it, his mind actually went blank and he got a bit nervous - at least that what he thought Caelan was acting like. Was he wrong? Maybe, but who could actually say that? That aside, warmth crept into his body, all over him and into his very being, simply because Caelan had dared to cuddle up to him and drag him to bed - wasn't that exactly what he had wanted and nothing more than that? All jokes and fears aside, it felt nice laying in his arms, cuddled together and just waiting for the brewing thunderstorm to actually happen. "Getting you drunk and sucking you off so you'll fall in love with me? No. Truth be told, I actually just wanted some alone time with you", and that was ... not an entire lie, but at least half a lie.

"I can't just leave all of my fathers precious friends hanging, sadly. I'd love to leave as early as possible, but sometimes stuff needs to be done. And also, don't tell them about me - unless you want to get yourself in danger. Whatever you want to tell them to cover up, I don't really care - that's up to your and your vivid imagination", Ronan chuckled - as funny as it'd be to tell Caelans friends who his lovely affair was, it was too risky to tell even one of them. And even if they didn't mind, who were they to not eventually slip up and tell somebody on accident that - of all people - he'd not only fallen for a man, but said man also was the guy he'd introduced to them not so long ago. "All sorts of books. I mean, my father has a history of confiscating stuff from suspicious people, adrestians and thri- wolves alike. Eventually, something tends to pile up and me, being me, I ended up getting my grubby hands on some of them and they're ... well, they're usable", he had slipped up there for sure. Not once had he actually heard a person from Adrestia call a wolf a Thrian, which, by all means, would be the correct description. If Caelan was tired enough, he wouldn't ask any more, but if he wasn't, he probably could fabricate a convincing lie - somehow. Ronan yawned, cuddling up to Caelan just a little bit more. "I wouldn't mind."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Well alright, if you say so! After all, if you made him your friend, how hard can it be?", he laughed and softly pinched Ronans cheek. With his constant frowning Caelan wondered how they actually met and how they became friends. Two shy people one of which looking like he wanted to kill you? How did that happen, but that was maybe a story for when Caelan actually met the crown prince himself, at least they would have something to talk about then. The storm outside was getting closer and rain started to knock on the window, for a short time lighting made everything light up, but it was far enough away. Hopefully the weather got better for their little trip. "So just some alone time with me... to do what? Talk like the night before? Or did you actually want me to cuddle you again?", Caelan asked, bantering with Ronan just a little bit. He didn't mind either way, whatever his plan was, this is how it turned out and Caelan was happy about it.

"It's alright, take your time.", Caelan smiled, he wouldn't judge Ronan for doing what he was here for in the first place. Then he chuckled a little bit. "Of course I won't tell them about you specifically, I'm not insane. But there is no harm in telling them that there's someone I really like? Though probably you're right and that might just peak their curiosity. By the way... should we leave apart from each other, just in case? I could wait by the lake for you... leave a little bit earlier. We can spend a night there and move on the day after?" Caelan couldn't say he never sneaked around for a girl, but it never needed as secret at his relationship to Ronan. Nobody could know about it. "Wolves huh? I wonder what they are like in bed...", he murmured, the books would probably tell him though. Caelan imagined them being kind of brutal and harsh... but in the end he didn't know anything about wolves. He wanted to know more, wanted to ask Ronan a few other things, but he didn't. Ronan seemed to be really tired, yawned even, so maybe this was enough talk for today. "Okay then, we can talk tomorrow.", he smiled and continued to move one hand over Ronans back, while the other found it's way into his hair.
    • "Probably harder than you are expecting right now", and in retaliaton, Ronan puffed his cheeks, but soon couldn't contain a giggle as Caelan pinched his cheeks. How he befriended Henry in the first place, well, Ronan wasn't sure - he had sat down on a bench with him once and they had started talking about a book he was reading, almost out of the blue. How old were they back then? Ronan couldn't exactly say, but old enough for him to not recognize his crown prince as such, which - in turn - amused said crown prince just a little bit. Now, however, he was laying here, in the arms of Caelan of Fhaergus, and he was wondering if all of this had happened if they hadn't met at the lake - if fate wasn't what had chosen to keep them afloat. "I'm not that great with people and wanted to get away from the crowd. If I had an ulterior motive, I don't exactly know - but what I do know is, that, well, I didn't actually intend to suck you off." Cuddling sounded nice regardless, which was seemingly why he spent time with the blonde now, instead of doing his fathers bidding - Ronan was tired of it, tired of Darragh and his antics and tired of having to hide himself.

"I'll try to hurry up", he sighed, painfully aware that all of this would take nothing more than an eternity - that his lover had to wait for him and that he'd have to leave Caelans warm embrace eventually. Oh, no - he didn't like that one bit. "You can tell them whatever you want, I won't judge and I'll try to keep my nose out of it, but ... it might be best to not admit all of it, you know? And hm, I think that's not a bad idea - so we'll meet at the lake tomorrow night?", he murmured, summarizing what they'd just agreed on anyway. Actually, Ronan had wanted to leave together with Caelan, but it was important for them to not raise any suspicion, especially when they both disappeared together at night and just seemed to show up whenever. "Why in bed, of all places? All I know is that they seemingly don't care who it is that they sleep with - unlike us, as stuck up as Adrestians are", at least that much he was able to figure out by the books alone. While his grasp on thrian language was, well, not the best, he could at least converse and read most of it, but having to ask his actual father for help, was - usually -, embarrassing enough. "Tomorrow sounds good", he mumbled, cuddle up to Caelan just a tiny bit more and closed his eyes - and unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for his breathing to even out and his body to decide that maybe, today Caelan was warm enough to not ruin Ronans bloodflow.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Ah well, I hope I won't scare him away...", Caelan said with a short laugh and almost embarrassed, he wasn't exactly sure how to deal with the crown prince, one of few people actually higher in rank than he was. He didn't think he was impolite, but on the other hand, he didn't have to think much about it anyway. And if not impolite he at least come across a little bit intimidating, at least he heard that sometimes, he even remembered saying Ronan something like that. It wasn't really important now though, as well as anything else, because while Ronan was still talking, he drifted into sleep already. "Tomorrow night at the lake then, fine." He was planning to make it more comfortable for Ronan this time around and if he left earlier, he would have some time to actually prepare something. Maybe he wanted to borrow Caelans coat again? "You sound like... nevermind...", he smiled, wanted to tell him that he almost sounded like he admired the wolves, but his breathing evened out already and Caelan was pretty sure Ronan was asleep. He closed his eyes as well, letting Ronan rest. He listened to his breathing or a while until he was tired enough to fall asleep too.

On the next morning Caelan woke up as soon as the sun found it's way up and was shining into the room. Ronan was still sleeping in his arms and for a moment Caelan thought about just closing his eyes again, but Ronan had things to do and the sooner he managed to deal with it, the sooner he could finally leave this place and meet up with Caelan. The blonde moved a little, started to comb through Ronans hair a while and caressed his cheek to slowly and softly wake him up. Hopefully this went better this time around, Caelan was still a little bit worried, but Ronan had said this actually wasn't that common. "Wake up sleepyhead... you've got stuff to do...", he whispered softly, continuing moving his hands to slowly drag Ronan into the waking world and out of his dreams. Caelan was still bewildered all of this was real and not just some weird dream.
    • "Whatever you ... say ...", Ronan mumbled, no longer willing to think or to actually form coherent sentences - he was tired, and one could argue that he shouldn't be, but in reality this was ... really all he wanted. Silence befell the two of them soon enough and the world of dreams dragged him away, somewhere where wondering and worrying about things was nothing worth his time, let alone would it be something he should be dealing with - maybe, once he'd settled down in that dream world of his, he'd know peace and he'd never want to leave. But all in all, his dreams were nothing more than muddled up equivalents of what was happening in that real world of his, that he was desperately trying to avoid - and the only thing, that really and truly kept him warm was Caelan, who he'd cuddled up against earlier - and of course, he had to show up in his nonsensical dreams. Whatever it was, Ronan couldn't quite tell, he just knew that he very much dreamt of Caelan, making his stupid jokes and laughing about stuff with him - but there was no real essence to it.

Something, something Caelan - wasn't that was his dreams were? Soft, and without care, as if it was fine to lay next to him, in his arms even and enjoy that touch of his, so soft and yet his rough fingers were something else entirely - Ronan couldn't claim it felt bad to be caressed, because it very much didn't. Although, for a dream this felt ... too real. What? The noble whined in protest as he heard Caelans voice and realized that, well, that hadn't been a dream and in retaliation, pressed his face against the mans chest even more - actually, he rubbed his face against it a few times. "Don't wanna", he protested like a little kid, not even opening his eyes once. He was tired to say the least, but that all would fade away once he started moving, even if that meant that he'd have to ... could he even move? Ever so slowly, he tried to move his cold fingers, pressed them against the blondes neck to warm them up too - he could move just fine today, which was why he started combing through Caelans hair himself. "Let me sleep", he declared, but knew well enough that there was no escape.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Caelan smiled, Ronan sounded like a little spoiled child, but Caelan actually felt bad to continue waking him up if he sounded like that. He felt the nobles face pressed against his chest, rubbing against him for some reason and he laughed a bit, while he continued to comb through Ronans long black hair. "Could you stop smearing your spit and snot onto me?", he asked, joking of course and he didn't do anything to stop Ronan either. He was cute as he lay there, he was cute when he slept and also now while he didn't want to wake up, but rather kept cuddled up to Caelan, stealing his warmth. Caelan wasn't sure if he should just pull the blanket aside or even stand up, he wasn't sure if Ronan really wanted to keep sleeping, or if in reality he would regret wasting any more time. As long as he managed to do what he was here for, it didn't matter when they stood up, but they couldn't lie in bed all day again, their trip to Ronans hutch would only get delayed even further.

Caelan winced when Ronans cold fingers found their way on his neck, they really were ice cold, but the blonde didn't mind, he just didn't see it coming. The tender fingers started to comb through Caelans own hair, it was pleasant but it didn't change the fact that he should keep up with waking Ronan. "The sooner you are finished, the sooner you can leave here and meet up with me... if we sleep all day, we have to stay another night.", he softly said, though he had an idea how to wake him, multiple actually. "How do you want to be woken up, because it happens anyway, softly, or rough?", he asked, leaving the decision to Ronan, while he continued his tender treatment, slowly moving his finger through his hair and over the soft skin on his back. He pressed his head on Ronans, his hair smelled actually pretty nice, he only noticed now...
    • Incidentally, in that very moment, he probably was nothing more than a spoiled child that wanted nothing more than to be cherished and loved, to be held and being told that it was alright for him to sleep some more, but instead, he didn't hear these things, he imagined them as ghastly whispers, faintly resembling the thundering voice of Caelan. Theoretically, this would suffice to keep him asleep, but Ronan wanted to put himself together, to stop being who he was and become who he wanted to be. "Never", he murmured and, as if he was protesting, rubbed his face some more into Caelans chest, searching for warmth that had been there from the getgo. Waking up like this was, in fact, pure bliss and he was lucky enough to get to feel it as well, as unlikely as it seemed beforehand. At some point, though, they had to break free from one another and while his hands were finding their way through the blondes hair, ever so slightly combing through it and wondering when it actually would be time to stop, to get up on his feet and shed the clothes from yesterday to force himself into new ones - hopefully never.

"I know", he murmured again, his fingers moving down, towards Caelans cheeks - he brushed over them with the back of his hand, then let go and wandered to his neck, brushing over it as well, before he lay his hands on Caelans chest and pushed himself away from him, just to actually realize this was no mere dream. However, he hadn't really managed that and instead still lay there, pressing his arms against Caelans chest now and raising his head ever so slowly, yawning. "I would like to leave as soon as possible, so I guess I have to work for it", he sighed and then, as he opened his eyes, looked for a way out - but he didn't even want to leave the comfortable, soft bed he was in and he very much disliked the thought of having to leave Caelan to his own devices, just so that they could meet up later today. "Mh, do your worst", he mumbled, cuddling back into bed ... this wasn't what he wanted, especially as he closed his eyes again. Theoretically, he was pretty much just teasing his fellow noble, but did he have to spill the beans? Not really. "Unless you don't want to but ... your hands feel nice, you know?"
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Caelan laughed again, amused by the fact that Ronan could act like a child and still be incredibly cute doing it. His nose continued rubbing over Caelans chest, now only because he wanted to tease Caelan. A morning like this was uncommon but nice. Waking up with someone he actually liked in his arms, no need to sneak out before his date woke up to escape embarrassing looks and annoying talk about what had happened and how it would continue. This, now with Ronan, this felt right for both of them, therefore there was no need to be embarrassed, though they should be for doing something going against everything they learned. Caelan however just thought about having more mornings like this, in fact, he didn't want to wake up alone anymore. He liked Ronan being the first thing he saw and felt and he liked to spoil him a little bit with kisses and affection, while he also enjoyed Ronans own fingers in his hair and on his skin.

Caelan got goosebumps just from the touch of his little kitten, his cold finger brushing over his skin so softly, making their way ever so slowly, though they didn't need to. Ronan actually managed to push himself away a little bit, trying to actually wake up. His eyes were still closed while he yawned, only to close them again, cuddling up a little bit more. "You want it rough... okay, but remember... that's what you wished for...", Caelan said in an almost frightening way. His hand previously residing by Ronans neck, moved donwards slowly, moved over his back, to his side, finding its way on Ronans ribs. He already knew how ticklish he was, he had him scream his name once before and exactly that was his plan now too, that would surely wake him up. So he tickled him, without mercy and he'd have to jump out of bed eventually if he wanted to break free.
    • Soon enough he'd have to trade Caelans warmth for his clothes and his sleepiness for something else - maybe it'd at least fill his growling stomach that, try as one might, had gotten almost nothing of the sweets they'd dragged back to the nightstand the day before - but who knew? Ronan was certain that, instead of going for an actual breakfast, he'd soon find himself passing up even that and only talking, talking, talking - running his mouth about official matters so that he could leave as soon as possible. Alone time, like he had now, with Caelan by his side felt like it was an unachievable dream and next to that, it probably was nothing more than a coincidence that they could spend so much time alone right now. What would he do once it started to snow? Could he really manage to survive on his own, like he had until now, or was his heart to broken already to hold itself together without his newfound love? Whatever it'd be, Ronan would only find out when it was time to be alone for more than a few hours, if he'd manage to survive by his lonesome or not. How bothersome was he, really?

He could spend all day here, entranced by nothing more than Caelan, but he himself knew that he should get up and try his earnest to finally wake up, to get away and to finally make his body listen to what his mind wanted, once and for all. Unfortunately for him, his mind decided that it wanted to be loved and held by Caelan and that every second of protest was a second wasted by him for some stupid nonsense. "You make it sound like a threat", Ronan concluded. The hand in his neck, the ghastly touch, disappeared and before he could even complain about the unfair treatment he was about to receive, he already felt what was happening. "Caelan don't you da-", and yet, he couldn't even finish his sentence before laughter errupted out of his mouth and the blonde was - seemingly - trying to get him to laugh a whole bunch, to actually wake him up. Ronan kicked his feet in the air as his body twisted to escape the grasp - and yet, it was impossible. "Caelan ... stop ...", he managed to get out between his laughing fits, but it didn't end until he fell out of bed and landed on his ass. Exasperated, he gasped for air and looked up to his lover - what an asshole. "Fair, you win." And with that, Ronan got up and pulled the rest of the blanket off of Caelan. "You wanted to leave right about now, so get up, dork."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • What was Caelan going to do? He'd probably get up, dress, pick up his stuff which he haven't really touched anyway, tell someone to ready his horse and then find Cameron, Orlando or Ethan. maybe he'd eat breakfast with them and then he'd tell them he was going to leave. If they asked why, he would tell them he'd meet someone, which was the truth and he wasn't a good enough liar to just fabricate something else. He was pretty sure they were able to read in his face that there was something off, something different and one of them would figure it out, so he rather told them what they would find out eventually anyway and just let out the who and that it in fact was a man. He wasn't sure though if he could drag Ronan to his friends again, he wasn't sure if they'd just catch on way too fast and though he trusted them, he didn't know hoe they would react.

For now it didn't matter much though, first he needed to get Ronan out of bed, have him wake up and start the day to actually be able to follow their plan. "It is a threat.", he grinned. Ronan did know what was going on, but he figured it out too late, Caelan already had him in his grasp and tickled him, not letting go of him so easily. Ronan pretty much couldn't control his body anymore, kicked and tried to escape until he finally landed on his butt on the floor, finally out of bed and probably pretty much awake. Caelan looked it him all angry and laughed. "hey, I asked you how you want me to get you out of bed and you decided for this option!", he said, he even warned him and told him to remember. "'Do your worst' were your words, that was it!" The missing blanket didn't bother him and he got up soon enough anyway to search for his shirt. Next time he'd probably not ask him to be rough, but Caelan had fun and couldn't stop grinning, while he slipped in his shirt and started to button it up.
    • Now that he had fallen flat onto his ass, Ronan was free to roam this room, pack up and get himself dressed - and yet, he already missed Caelans warm embrace and actually, he wanted breakfast. They both lived in lavish and yet, he never managed to eat properly - instead, he waltzed over to Caelans side of the bed, as if it always had been his, and stole a biscuit off of yesterdays plate that still sat there. After that, he picked up his shirt and folded it, put it to the other clothes that he had worn the day before and again started rummaging through his belongings to find new clothes for the day. He couldn't wear something incredible comfortable, even though he wanted to, but he still had to present himself well - it was a pain in the ass to even think about official matters and just because Darragh couldn't be bothered to come here, this didn't mean that Ronan wanted to take over his duties. A sigh spilled from his lips, his gaze lay upon Caelan as he grabbed another biscuit. "Well, I thought it would be something enjoyable and not a near death experience that would literally throw me out of bed", he sighed, rubbed his temples and decided that he shouldn't care all that much.

"What would the other option even have been?", he asked, almost childishly, as he shoved the biscuit into his mouth and ... this could use milk, which they didn't have, so he had to endure them in all their dry glory. Actually, he should wash himself before he picked out new clothes, but ... they didn't even do anything exhausting yesterday, or something that would have made him sweat, so ... no. He didn't want to feel disgusting for the rest of the trip, especially if he thought about the lakes rancid water that he had to wash off after that. "I need a bath", he complained, his hands stealing a third biscuit off of the plate and his hands digging through his belongings for some new clothes, something wearable and nice, but if he found what he wanted, what next? Then he had to leave Caelan behind and be among so many uninteresting people at once. The young noble puffed his cheeks for a second, scratched the back of his head and as soon as the blonde had gotten up, strutted over to him, tiptoed once more and stole a kiss. "Stop being so damn tall, will you?"
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Ronan seemed pretty much awake, so Caelans mission seemed completed. His first action of the day seemed to be getting a biscuit and then another one and another one. Not before he dressed himself and started packing somehow. Caelan had put his shirt on pretty fast and then kept sitting in the bed, watching Ronan be all busy and eating a lot of sugar. He still thought it was funny how Ronan fell out of the bed and he didn't hide it. "You wanted rough, why would rough be enjoyable?", he asked still laughing and shaking his head, Ronan was blowing this out of proportion. "Well it worked pretty fast, didn't it? Now you're awake and I would have stopped befoe you died... I guess, after all I want to have you around a while longer.", he grinned, wondering if Ronans ass hurt now.

"Maybe I'll show you another time...", Caelan hummed, but for today it would stay a secret. It would have been gentle and sweet, but he let Ronan choose and he chose that, so it was his fault for not expecting the worst. "Are you hungry?", Caelan chuckled after the third biscuit, after all he had brought Ronan food yesterday, didn't he? "A bath? Well that will delay your departure!", Caelan laughed, standing up now as well and leaving his gaze fixed onto Ronan who searched for something to wear. He himself searched for his boots meanwhile, at least as long as it took Ronan to come over, tiptoeing and kissing him shortly. "Maybe you should start growing instead!", he grinned, getting another kiss, before Ronan could react and wouldn't give him any more. Then he tended to his boots, put them on and was pretty much finished in here.
    • "I thought it could be - and I just said you should do your worst, not actually that I want it rough but that's my own fault. The next time I want it soft", the young noble declared, as if he has any choice in what Caelan would do in the end. Well, at least he had a choice in what he ate and in this case it was a fourth biscuit because Ronan of Alster was keen on making bad choices, especially this early and with a sour expression on his face, now that he could freely judge that lover of his. "Glad to know that you want more than fuck and kill me, that sounds really promising. All jokes aside, that was a bit unexpected and sure as hell woke me up", Ronan mumbled as an answer, still partially chewing on that biscuit of his and asking himself if he should take another one or if he should rub that ass of his, to get rid of the mild, stinging pain that he now felt. "Next time I'll tickle you out of bed and you'll hate me for it, heed my words, puppy." He almost sounded like this was going to be a threat, rather than a deal or a promise and hell, it probably was.

"We'll have all the time in the world once we're in the hutch, you know?" It wouldn't be a spacious mansion just as this one and their room choice was limited, but all in all, they wouldn't get bored - and even if Caelan disliked books, Ronan still had a few ideas to entertain him, even if some of them were pretty much the same thing over and over again, but who'd complain? Not him. "Slightly", and thus, lied trough his teeth as he shoved a fifth one between his lips and began nibbling on it, just like a rabbit would - he was sure that all those cookie crumbs would be on his shirt, if he had worn one. "Do you want me to stink, then?" Ronan himself wasn't a fan of that. Actually, why would he even be? Except, they'd have to take a bath at the hutch anyway and ... "Fine, taking a bath now would probably only waste time." At least Caelan kissed him and his biscuit crumbs back and Ronan had another reason to be angry pretty soon. "My parents are both taller than me, you know how infuriating that is? And you know how annoying it is if I have to tiptoe when I kiss you?" Instead, he reached for a shirt and put it on, buttoned it up and also rummaged for some socks, before he started putting his boots back on. "Didn't you want to leave?"
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Alright, the next time I'll wake you softly. Noted.", Caelan smiled, watching Ronan eat another biscuit, maybe that's why he was so sweet? "Of course I want more than that, silly. As if this wasn't already clear." Ronan seemed to have woken up on the wrong foot... well, he'd woken up on his ass after all, but at least he woke up laughing, so that was something. At least he was awake, wide awake at that, so it worked and that was fine. "Alright fine, but that means you have to wake up before I do and be awake enough to actually tickle me.", Caelan pointed out and he didn't think that would happen. Given he only saw Ronan wake up three times so far, but at all occasions he was more than tired, not wanting out of bed anyway.

"But in the hutch we won't have to actually wake up, we could lie in bed all day and cuddle.", Caelan hummed, he was really looking forward to some alone time with Ronan, without anybody disturbing that. He wondered how the hutch actually looked and where it was, he wanted to see it already, but it would take them some more time before actually arriving, sadly. "You're not stinking and should we take a dip in the lake tonight, it was all for nothing anyway.", Caelan laughed and poked his lover in the side, because he was so grumpy. "Maybe you'd grow taller if you stop eating only biscuits." Ronans size didn't matter to Caelan and he couldn't really get smaller, just lean down to Ronan if he really wanted a kiss. That aside, how would he carry him around if he wasn't that tall? "Yeah alright, I get it, I'll go. I'll make this morning up to you, promise.", he grinned, grabbed Ronan for another kiss and afterwards left, before he got another snarky answer.

Caelan did pack up, meet his friends and got some things from the Lavern estate to surprise Ronan with. The food he packed wasn't actually stealing, was it? After all it was for him to take. This was among other things he packed up, he avoided his father and soon enough left, this time with his belongings. It took some time to get all the way back to the lake, but it wasn't as hot since it had rained the day before. Still, Caelan hoped Ronan was able to leave soon enough to meet him before dawn. When he arrived at the location they had camped, he looked around a little bit and found a much better spot, leaving behind some markings for Ronan to follow. He needed to move around the lake a little bit, but it was only a few minutes from their old camping ground. Caelan got wood and set up a fire, he also found the softest mossy spot for their little makeshift bed, which was a little bit fancier this time, instead of just a blanket on the ground. Now both of them would have enough space, the soft ground would feel nice and Caelan used some towels as pillows. All of which was built under a willow tree, it's leaves hanging to the ground and shutting out unwanted eyes. The fire was made a good chunk away from it though, Ronan would have to deal with only Caelans warmth for the night, but he got the nicest bed he could have being outside in nature instead. Also, Caelan had prepared enough blankets and his coat to keep Ronan warm in his arms. When Caelan though Ronan had to be arriving soon, he prepared some food, all of which things atable while being cold, he also got some biscuits for him to nibble on and sat all around their little makeshift bed. He had another surprise there, preparing that too, but he would finish up as soon as Ronan arrived. Caelan waited by the fireplace in front of the tree and lit it, just so Ronan could find him easier.
    • Caelan of Fhaergus was, with the best intentions possible, still annoying - and in all honesty, Ronan didn't necessarily care about that, hell, he didn't even care if Caelan would be annoying him for the rest of this week or for the next two weeks. Such annoyance was, in theory, bliss - because he could have something else, someone else bothering him that he didn't want around and he sure as hell didn't want that. Though, Caelan did well to leave so soon after, with just a kiss on his lips - they'd see each other soon, but Ronan wanted nothing more than to throw a few snarky remarks at his fellow noble, which unfortunately seemed to be impossible. A slight sight spilled from his lips and now that the doors had closed, he could finally breathe - could dress himself appropriately and now that he was all alone, he also could take time to sink back into bed which, albeit he wanted to, was a bad decision. What now? Ronan grabbed a coat, wanted to preserve the warmth that had found its way into his body, and stepped outside sometime after Caelan had, just to grab something actual to eat and converse with all these stupid nobles that his father had urged him to.

How late was it? The sun was already going down, deeper and deeper, glowing in a bright orange - and he was still talking to these idiots. Hadn't he promised Caelan he'd leave in the afternoon? Yes, yes he did - and right now was a good idea to get up and bolt. Ronan excused himself from the table, went back to his room and packed up - he didn't need so much, didn't need his horse to carry that many saddlebags and on his way out - now only left with two light bags - told one of the servants that they'd do well to have someone deliver the rest of his belongings to the mansion. He made his way to the stables, brought his horse out and after just a few minutes, got on it and rode off into the metaphorical sunset - how fucking late was he? Way too late for sure. The way to the lake was already ardurous, but the fact that he arrived when it was already dark again was stupid in its own regard, too. The last few bits of light that were still there illuminated Caelans makeshift directions in their own way and Ronan followed them, slowly but steadily, before he stopped at the little spot that his fellow noble had prepared. With a sigh, he got off of his horse and looked at Caelan, before he bound it to a tree and stood there. "All that effort and here I am, way later than anticipated. I'm sorry, they didn't wanna stop talking."

    • Caelan waited, looked at the sun setting, watched the sky change its color and relaxed a little bit, lying in the grass. At least at first, as soon as the first stars sparkled upon him, he started to wonder where Ronan was and what took him so long. There were multiple scenarios playing in his head, one of which being that Ronan had changed his mind, maybe because Caelan had annoyed him a little bit too much, or because he had found time to actually think about it and now realized, that all of this was a mistake. Another scenario playing in his head was that something happened to Ronan, bandits maybe, or his horse broke a leg and threw him in a ditch. Caelan knew that he probably didn't need to worry and after a long long time of waiting and already eating some of the food, Ronan arrived finally. Caelan heard his horse before he saw him, but soon enough he stood there. Caelan got on his feet, rushing to Ronan, hugging him, picking him up even. "I though you'd ditch me!", he grinned, it was somehow true even. "Don't worry... you look tired. Are you hungry? Cold?", he asked, putting the noble back on the ground and urging him to wait.

"I know you probably like sitting by the fire, but I... prepared something, under the tree and a fire under a tree is a bad idea. Just wait here, it'll take only a second!", Caelan said and quickly moved to what he was planning to do, picking up a small burning piece of wood from the fireplace and stepping behind the widows leaves which almost acted like a curtain. After maybe two minutes he came ou again and threw the piece of wood back into the fire. Then he grabbed Ronans hand, dragging him with him to the tree and urging him to move the leaves aside himself. Yes Caelan put a lot of effort into making this morning up to Ronan, into surprising him in a pleasant way. What lay behind the curtain was a makeshift bed with all the blankets Caelan could get his hands on and some moss he dragged there as additional pillows under them. The food he had more or less stolen was ready to eat, the biscuits as well and all around their so to speak bed he had dug little holes. In those holes he placed candles, which he had lit just before. Some moonlight was illuminating the place, the candles lit the rest faintly, the bed should be soft for being one makeshift bed on the ground and the food was eatable cold. Caelan was a little bit nervous, seemingly getting second thought about all this. "It's too cheesy, isn't it?"
    • Ronan had accounted for everything but this - being lifted off of his feet served as a surprise that he wasn't keen on receiving, but he didn't mind all that much, in fact, it was nice being held by Caelan of all people, especially right now that he was so very tired and wanted nothing more than to be back in his arms. Tired and lonely, after only a few hours - he really had no endurance, did he now? "Calm down, I'd never ditch you", he mumbled, his face already slightly red again. Caelan was good at embarrassing him, good at making him happy and all in all, how could he even be mad at the blonde? "I'm just tired, hungry and cold", he admitted, finally feeling the ground under his feet once again. Why was he so dependent on Caelan anyway? A few days ago, it had felt like the world would crumble beneath his feet if he put his weight on it, but now it was more like, he'd crumble under the pressure of this world if Caelan wasn't there to hold him and gift him his warmth - he'd crack under all the pressure he was under, that he'd lose control of himself once again.

"A fire under a tree is a horrible idea, but I'll make do without one", he answered, his face still slightly red and yet he couldn't muster a smile. Maybe he was still very much too tired for that, drained from the things he had done today, but the anticipation of freedom was something that kept him going and helped him understand that he very much was not to be shackled any further and that Caelan would, eventually, be the key to freedom that he didn't know he needed to free himself. His gaze fell upon which his fellow was trying to hide, between some low hanging tree branches and a bit of darkness, but he didn't peek until he was invited to - why would he? And there it was, Caelans hand dragging him with him, showing him what he had prepared in his absence. What was all of this? Was it because he had complained that their makeshift bed wasn't comfortable enough the last time, or because Caelan thought he liked to live in lavish? Or did he feel bad about something? His lips curled upward, forming a smile and Ronan chuckled slightly. "I wouldn't say it's not cheesy, but I don't care. It's sweet, you're cute ... but why? I mean, I'm happy you went out of your way and prepared all this but ... you didn't have to put so much effort into it, I like you regardless."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Tired, hungry and cold? Well I'll manage all of those."; Caelan smiled, having planned a nice and probably very short evening, after all he already anticipated Ronan being tired, even when he thought he'd arrive much earlier still. Talking to so many people while this seemed to be the worst thing for Ronan anyway could just exhaust him and Caelan didn't want to push him, it sufficed to eat something and then go to sleep. They'd have enough time to do other things as soon as they arrived at their destination. Caelan wondered however, when he'd leave again and how he should be able to just let Ronan alone, let him get back home to his horrible father, but... this was food for thought for another day. Now all was mattered was Ronan getting happy after a long day and Caelan went to great lengths do accomplish that, he just hoped Ronan would like it.

There it was, a small and faint chuckle, but Caelan heard it, so it somehow worked at least. It was cheesy, even Ronan said that, but that was somehow clear from the beginning, the point was Ronan seemed to like it somehow at least. "I just thought... I have time and I think camping isn't quite your thing, so I wanted to make it comfortable for you after a long day. Also... I felt bad for tickling you out of bed and I promised to make it up for you, right?", he asked, scratching the back of his head and now that Ronan was hear he felt a little stupid for doing all this. "It kept me busy while I waited for you, so it wasn't that much effort at all. After all I would just have gotten nuts sitting here and staring in the distance to look if I can see you. I'm glad I did it and it was kind of fun, so it's no problem at all.", he said with a smile. "I don't expect you to do anything like that for me in return, so don't worry!", he added, nor grabbing Ronans hand again and softly dragging him to the hopefully comfortable makeshift bed. "I hope it's not too cold, but you can have my coat... or I'll just hold you while we eat. Or have you eaten already?"
    • "I'd love to see you try, really", Ronan answered. Why was it Caelan, of all people, that made him feel soft? What was this all about, if not finally reveling in desires that one had hidden away for way too long? Ronan was uncertain, knew well enough that he'd have to let go sooner or later - not only would they not live forever, but their relationship was doomed to fail, even if it was in its infancy right now. They both knew as much, yet, they didn't make any efforts to push one another away - instead, he basked in the warmth of Caelan more than enough, enjoyed the aura he carried about and chalked it up to fate that he was the one that was loved back. Up until now, his life had continuosly consisted of pain and fear, but right now, he wondered, what would happen if he managed to hide his relationship with Caelan well enough? Whatever he'd do, their little ... affair could be one, as long as he managed to hide it well enough, something that was easier said than done, that much he knew. Though, once his father found out, it wouldn't only be the end of the line, it would be the end of their lives - was Caelan prepared for that? Did he know?

Such depressing thoughts felt misplaced, as if they didn't belong within his head anymore - therefore, Ronan discarded them pretty quickly and instead plastered his gaze upon the makeshift bed that Caelan had prepared and the flickering candles surrounding it. Hadn't he just said that one shouldn't light a fire beneath a tree? He was an idiot, through and through - but Ronan bit back that one comment, instead focusing on those words, as sweet as honey. "I'm fine with camping, but ... this looks more comfortable than our last makeshift bed. Still, I wasn't really mad at you, I'm not mad at you right now, you know? You really didn't have to do it, but I appreciate the gesture", the black haired noble explained to Caelan who, try as one might, had not only make him fall for him even more, no, he also had to drag him around, didn't he? "I'm glad you didn't lose your mind from sitting still and waiting for me, though. They talked so much, my head feels like it's been turned into mush." A slight headache was all he had, but his body really, really wanted to sit down and not have to stand any longer, instead, Caelan dragged him to the bed, but before Ronan sat down, he tiptoed once more and gave Caelan a kiss - a well deserved one at that. Then, he finally sat onto that makeshift bed and well, it could have been warmer for sure, but he didn't mind. "Hmm, behing held by you sounds good, but ... do you really want to spoil me all that much? And no, I wish I had eaten before I left but I pretty much haven't had anything since breakfast."
