Edward sometimes wondered how often the prince had watched him during his training in the courtyard, or when he was out and tried to figure out what to do with his free time. He never knew and once the prince sent him on little missions to check out the town and report to him what he found, at least he had something he could do while he waited for his next shift to start. Was he pathetic? Maybe, he didn't quite know what to do with his life other than being by the princes side and help him with whatever he needed, but it was fine for him, he was happy and there was no need to worry about any of that. "I will, if you wish so.", Edward nodded, almost bowed and then checked the horses to see if they were still ready. Their things, including Edwards pants weren't quite dry, but they could leave soon probably and try to reach a city to find a suitable bed for the young noble. The sea was far away still and they hadn't made up their mind about the way they wanted to go either. They probably could walk the coastline once they reached it, or they moved north for now and walked past the mountains they eventually had to climb to make one last visit in Ylisse. Actually Edward wished for someone to find them before that a little bit, he still was incredibly worried something could happen to the prince.
"You were the one pulling me off duty when we were little, right?", Edward answered with a short but soft smile, reaching for the princes cape he had cast off so hastily once they got here. Now he brought it back to him, so he could also protect his face from the sun, he probably had been exposed way too long already. "Well you know I'd rather turn back and know you are save.", Edward answered, it wasn't exactly a complaint, more a plea, but the prince knew all that and Edward wasn't going to insist on it. He wondered if his brother told the oldest prince sometime he wanted to turn back from a dangerous hunt, but knowing him he probably had fun doing it too. For now Edward exchanged the cape for the blanket and comb in the princes hands and brought them back to the horses to put them back in their bags. He shorty stopped, but refrained from telling the prince that he didn't need to learn all that, since he quite clearly simply wanted to. He instead checked the princes saddle and then moved back to the wet blanket and his own wet cape which he touched to check how dry it was already. The sun in Ylisse was always hot anyway. "I don't think your brothers would be happy with me anyway. I'm glad you are.", Edward answered before pulling the fabric off the branches to put it back too. Then he walked over to the prince, shooting him an almost shy glance. "Does anything hurt?"
