    • He should've known better - he should know Richard better, as a matter of fact. Why did he forget so much in the first place? Yujin didn't even remember what the cause was, and yet he spend his days lamenting about not wanting to forget - and instead, he now had someone sitting in front of him that, by all means, was from a past he'd forgotten. He felt bad for not admitting to it in the first place, but rather for letting his dad guide him into doing something that he should've known was a bad idea, but to Yujin, none of this was - Richard looked like he needed someone to hold onto, or someone that would hold onto him for now, and he was also fairly aware that if he said or did something wrong, it could shatter all that Richard still was - he looked fragile like that. But why didn't all this remembering come naturally to him? He didn't know, yet picked up both boots and socks of Richard to set them aside - there still was so much more to do, so much more to figure out, and he wasn't sure if any of this was the key to something for either of them, but it couldn't hurt, could it? "If you want, you can roll your pants up a bit and just hold your legs in? If that works ... adrestian clothing is kinda stuffy.", he laughed, and he meant it - he didn't want to wear that, even if he were Richard.

Still, the banter wasn't going to solve anything, it just was used and abused as some sort of smalltalk that should even the odds, or at least let Yujin figure out something about the ghastly looking person that was led into his home and cared for by plenty of people that seemed to know what was going on. Yujin himself only kicked off one more layer, before rolling up the rest of his pants and sitting down to hold his legs into the water as proposed earlier, before he heard the prize winning and knee busting question that he'd dreaded. He gulped. Richard was going to bust him as some sort of sham, Yujin was sure of it, but there hardly was anything he could do about that. "I ... can I be honest?", he suddenly started, as if he wasn't always honest with Richard, which seemed odd to insinuate. "I remember some things, but I think I might need a bit to figure it out. I know you, I know that your hair was shorter, that you weren't as thin, and that you weren't as cuddly - and I know that when I hugged you, I didn't want to let go of you again, I thought that's where you belonged. I also know I wasn't mad at you, but I might need a bit to figure out something more - it's still there, though. I mean, I recognize you as you, but ... I probably don't remember the fine details, except ...", Yujin then glanced at Richard, whos hand he sought out himself, all the time. "You are you, and as things stand, I'm not going to let go of you again. You did leave me alone before, didn't you?", he asked, but he still smiled, as if it helped, somehow. There wasn't much that didn't help and this conversation couldn't go any more south than it already did, but he could try, couldn't he? "I'd like to figure it out, together with you, though, if you'd give me a chance - and I'm happy to have you back."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Richard looked at the warm and steamy water for a while and then he watched Yujin roll up the legs of his own pants to sit down at the edge and put them in there. Richard slowly crept closer and did the same. A sound escaped his lips when he dunked his feet into the water. It felt nice, but it also hurt a bit since his feet were so much colder than the water they touched now. It only took a while until that feeling subsided and his feet warmed up. His legs were mostly fine too, maybe some bruises from kicks or something like that, but that wasn't visible anymore. There were some burn marks higher up, but most of the things done to him were done above his waist. On his back mostly, but also his chest, stomach and arms. Though he had to admit that one arm and his neck already looked horrible before all of what happened in Olette. He shouldn't have a problem showing this to Yujin again and he kind of didn't, but the rest was too much and he didn't want to talk about it should any questions arise.

Richard looked up when Yujin started to talk again though and he wanted him to be honest even if it hurt. What Yujin said though was... more than Richard expected and more than he deserved. Yujin remembered about him what was important as it seemed, even though he probably forgot his name and face and Richard was glad about that. Still he felt like lying again if he didn't come clean, but talking became so difficult for him. When Yujin mentioned it himself Richard was taken aback, he knew it was time to come clean. "I... I...", he started, knowing that he didn't deserve Yujin and his never ending kindness. Richard turned his head away from Yujin, he didn't want him to look at him right now. "I... lied to you...", he started. "I lied... a whole week... you had made plans for... things to do and... you wanted me to come get you, but I... I just left. Without saying goodbye. Without intending to come back here... ever. Even before... I always... lied... I'm... you shouldn't... you should be mad..."
    • They both sat there and enjoyed some warmth, with Richard coming closer as if the steamy air and hot water didn't do much to help him warm up, and Yujin was the one offering him comfort. He'd heard of that a few times, of people firmly believing that the second prince did offer comfort, but he remember no names and no faces, nothing he could associate with the assumption and his memories, too - and he didn't mind, because for all that was important, he did now, and Richard was someone that remembered for him. "You lied to me?", he asked, as if he was confused by the statement alone, but the explanation helped, and after Richard had opened his mouth and told him all there was, Yujin slowly realized that there might have been something to that, that he was right and that there might have been an instance like this. Still, the wolf didn't stop smiling, and instead, wrapped his arm around Richard who was averting his gaze, pulling him in just the slightest bit closer, as if to show him that everything was fine, and that he didn't need to recall something like that, something that only brought both of them pain. The details were fuzzy, and his head was hurting ever since he saw Richard, but that was very much it.

"I'm not.", he simply answered, stating a fact, rather than an assumption. "I wasn't ever mad at you, either. I might not remember much about you, or about us, at least in my head, but I still don't think that I ever cried because I was mad. My dad said something about me crying a whole lot, and I think I ... missed you terribly, that I wanted you back. Maybe I felt betrayed, but I don't know that.", he mumbled as he rubbed over Richards back, trying to figure something out for himself, for the person he'd forgotten, too, and for the person that he was, before forgetting it all. Was he anything like the Yujin that Richard remembered? He didn't know, didn't dare ask, but he was silent for a bit, before he found his own voice again. "You're back, though, aren't you? And you missed me, too - you said that, no?", he inquired instead, and he was still smiling, unchanged, before he seemingly had a funny thought and giggled about it. Yujin didn't know who he was to Richard, or who Richard had been to him, but that wasn't as important right now, not when he did have a thought worth sharing. "That just means that we'll have to do all of that now. And knowing myself, I probably wrote it down somewhere ... which means. Richard, would you be willing to indulge my own selfishness and pick things back up where we left off?" Not that he knew where that was, or what his feelings were, but from here on out, he could guess, even if it meant he'd have to wrap his second arm around Richard, too, and hug him tight. "If you don't run off without telling me, all is forgiven - I'm sure I would've done that if I remembered, I'm not good at holding grudges, or being mad at anyone." He never was and never would be. "And besides, you can look at me - I'm not mad, Richard. I want you to feel at home."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Yujin was always downplaying things. He didn't care that his nose was still a bit crooked, he didn't care Richard had thrown him off a cliff and he didn't care that he screamed at him so very much. He hadn't been better than Dayan, now that Richard thought about it. He too yelled whenever something irritated him and Richard took it all wrong, didn't he? He made it all about himself, about how sad he was that his big brother was mad at him, how sad he was he didn't understand that he'd never be like he was before, but Dayan lost his brother too... two of them and one sister. Richard didn't want to be selfish around Yujin though, but he never was able to get him away, so maybe, if Yujin wanted this too, then it was fine? What even was their relationship though, definitely not what they were when Richard left. Yujin held Richard again, telling him that all was good and that he wasn't and hadn't been mad, but was that true? Could Richard accept that just like that?

"I... I... yes. I missed you...", Richard admitted once more, still not looking at Yujin. The truth was Richard regretted ever leaving. Yujin was too good for him and he deserved so much better. he deserved someone neither mean to him, nor someone that was so broken, that he could barely keep on living. Yujin deserved to be happy. Richard didn't understand what he liked about him. "I'm... I'm not the same person... Yujin, I... " Yujin barely knew Richard at this point. What he might remember was a different person either way. There was no need for Yujin to be nice again, or to fall back in love... Richard bit his lip as he remembered Yujin yelling it after him, that was the last thing he had said and Richard did nothing but wave his hand. He couldn't stop a few tears from falling. Richard was pulled into a hug anyway, at least he didn't have to show his face like that. "I don't... I don't deserve this..."
    • Somehow, fortune favored the bold, and yet, Yujin was neither bold, nor particularly favored by anything - he had his own fair share of issues, cried about the smallest of things and was always in a different mindset than he should be. Why was that? He didn't know, and he wondered if he deserved to know in the first place, but right now, not only did it not matter, he also didn't need to figure it out - he liked being there for Richard, he always had, and for some reason, he felt as if he'd make his life more bearable, whyever that was. Did Yujin enjoy it? Very much so, especially if he always came back to look out for the same person, the one he didn't remember and that hardly was who he'd known before, and yet, Yujin could say the same about him - he wasn't sure who he was, or why Richard remembered him a certain way, but he had the functioning brain of the two. "And so did I, I meant that. I never want to miss you ever again.", he declared, as if he had a saying in whatever or not Richard went anywhere to look for something he might have lost as well, but even then, he'd stick with him, however he'd do that - and for some reason, Yujin had an odd feeling about it all, one that led him to believe that he kind of knew what was going on between the two of them. Maybe.

"And even if you aren't, what does that change? I'm the one that never changes, I'm probably the same as before - and if that gives you comfort, if I give you comfort, I don't see why we wouldn't pick it all back up where we left off. We don't have to, if you don't want to - we can start over, too.", he suggested, but he was still smiling, still happy, and still holding onto Richard, who felt like he was Yujins whole world, in some skewed sense that the wolf didn't understand. Was it because he had nobody else to cling onto? Or was it because he genuinely enjoyed being with Richard? For one, it probably was, what his body remembered, and for the other, it was what his mind recalled as right and just, as what he wanted to give away and as what the crying bundle, resting in his arms, deserved. Yujin stroked over his back, keeping him save from danger that wasn't there, but he sat there with him instead, offering up all that he could, physically, so Richard would cast aside any doubts and worries. "Who said that? You? I disagree. You deserve someone that you can trust and rely on, that comforts you and keeps you close. I don't know what it is that's gotten into you, but you can share your worries with me. I'm not just saying that to make you stay, I want you here - I want to be with you, stop saying stuff like this. You deserve so much more. After all, it's not like you left me because you disliked me, is it now?"
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Why did Richard believe every word Yujin just said? It didn't feel like he just pitied him, it felt like he meant every single word. Maybe Richard just wanted to believe that though, he wasn't sure, he wasn't sure about anything anymore. He still clung to Yujin who needed to comfort Richard since he got here. Would he ever be able to give anything back to him? This relationship wasn't fair on Yujin, not at all and Richard wasn't even sure what Yujin thought this relationship had been. Maybe he thought they had just been friends, nothing more, but if Richard didn't tell, wasn't this like a lie again? They hardly could pick up right there, they couldn't just act nothing had happened. A lot had happened and Richard wasn't the same. Neither of the personalities Yujin knew of him where ever his. "I won't just..." No, he couldn't promise that, he really couldn't. Richard shut his mouth again not finishing his sentence. H couldn't say what happened and as things were he wasn't sure how long he was able to keep going and stay alive. Death was a form of leaving too...

"I... it's... it's not fair of me to just... expect you to act like I never was gone...", Richard mumbled. He hadn't talked this much in a while and he was tired. Tired of talking, of crying and generally of being himself, but maybe he should take that bath, if only to not stink when Yujin hugged him again. "N-no...", Richard then answered. He didn't leave because he disliked Yujin, in fact he had been very grateful for him being there for Richard, much as now. he didn't want to vanish or leave suddenly again, he just wanted some peace and quiet, knowing that Yujin was somewhere around. he didn't even have to be in his room, or help hi with anything, Richard just felt a little bit saver finally. "Y-Yujin...", he then started slowly letting go of him again, but it was hard for him to directly look at him. "W...would you leave... for a bit...? I'll... take the bath...", he asked of him. He wasn't ready to talk about anything, he wasn't ready for any questions so Yujin couldn't see what was under his clothes. He wouldn't die if he was alone for a view minutes... right?

    • Nothing of this was a mistake to Yujin, not yet, and he knew well enough that he was only trying his best, not just for himself, but also for Richard, who deserved so much more than the company of someone like him that would keep on forgetting, would keep on wondering why he couldn't recall the most mundane things, but it hardly mattered, it never had, never would and it never should matter - as long as Richard was going to stick around and tell him who he was, what they were, he could figure it out and he could make things work again, maybe that was why he smiled like an idiot and couldn't help but wonder if Richard wanted to go back to what they were before. It would only be fair, no? "It's fine. You can take all the time that you need for a proper answer, but I won't treat you any different. I'll say it time and time again - you're still you, and that means you're important to me.", he spoke, with a smile as bright as the sun - and Yujin probably wasn't wrong. Whatever plagued Richard, they'd figure out - and whatever would help Richard, they'd figure out as well. It was silly to turn someone down just because they weren't who they used to be.

"And? Richard, I'm not shaming you, and by all means, I'm not blaming you either - I wish to comfort you, not because my past self would have done it, but because I want to. And I offered it to you, if I thought it'd not be fair, I wouldn't claim something as preposterous as that.", he made clear, but didn't sound stern, or the slightest bit annoyed with the statements that repeated themselves. Yujin didn't know himself, didn't know how much he tended to cry, or what it was that had made him like Richard before, especially if he wasn't the same, but right now, it felt as if keeping him close forevermore was the only right thing to do, for both of them, even if it wasn't for long. "See? I don't have any reasons to be mad at you." And he seriously doubted that he was capable of doing that. Not only was he enjoying all of this way too much, he also wondered for how long this would go on - would Richard cast him aside when he didn't need comfort any longer? No, that sounded silly, too - and Yujin was clearly worrying about the wrong things. The bundle in his arms moved, and he waited for him o fully let go, before he did the same. "Are you sure? I don't mind, but ... I'll wait right outside, so please, if you need anything, give me a quick yell, yes? You might be able to stand in there, but if you can't get out by yourself, don't hesitate to ask for some help, okay?", he implored the blonde, giving his back a pad. Before long, he got up and picked up his outer coat that he put on, without tying any sash or the likes of it. Then, he walked towards the door, opening it, and as he stood right outside, he recalled something. "Do you want me to close it or should I keep it slightly ajar? We could continue to talk like that if you want, I won't peek. If not, that's also fine - the choice is yours."

    • Richard wondered how much he should tell Yujin. The only necklace he had left was the one he gave him and he carried it diligently around. Not around his neck, but still. He felt like he should be honest with him, but then he thought that maybe, if he showed Yujin that he once intended to marry him, that it would coax him into feeling, or pretending to feel way more than he did, as if he pressured him. Richard wasn't sure what the right course of action was, he wasn't sure what he should do about it, but maybe he'd have some more time to figure it out. For now he didn't have it with him anyway, it was in his room amongst his other few belongings and it would stay there for now. As for Yujin, Richard couldn't answer him much anymore, he didn't feel like it, or more like, he didn't feel capable of much more conversation. he liked listening to Yujin, but he couldn't talk all the time. It felt rude, but he just didn't know what to say.

Was it really enough for him to keep Yujin occupied like that? he said he still felt Richard was important to him, but Yujin often times acted like every single person was. Maybe if Richard was a bit more capable, he'd feel like he could be somewhere else too, but for now Richard couldn't fight much more. Once Yujin let go of Richard he just nodded again. He'd take a bath without dying that shouldn't be so hard, but all the questions Yujin posed were becoming too much for Richard who shied every decision at this point. "...closed...", h mumbled simply because he didn't want Yujin to see anything, even if he said he wouldn't peek. Yujin did as he was asked and Richard slowly started to get rid of his clothes, then let himself into the water. It actually felt good, it warmed him up and the warm air helped his lunges too. He put his arms on the edge of the pool of water and rested his head on them. He closed his eyes for a bit, but he felt restless. he thought he could have relaxed a bit, but his mind went rampant and thus he gave up on it pretty soon. Instead he rubbed of his body a bit, stopping at every new scar, trying not to see or think about it to not remember where it come from and when he felt like he couldn't breath anymore, he forced himself out of the water to grab a towel. He wasn't very diligent by drying himself and the Thrian clothing he threw around his body was only loosely and clumsily tied. He just wanted to get away, even though there was nowhere he felt better about himself. He couldn't even have a proper bath on his own, but it hardly mattered as he knocked at the door as if he needed permission to come out. he didn't know why he did that and instead opened the door himself, almost falling out of the room. His hair was still wet, parts of the clothing had soaked up water that had stuck to Richards body still, but he just wanted out, as if he saw a ghost in there - his own body - and as if leaving would fix his messed up brain.
    • Closed it was, and Yujin complied, sitting with his back to the door to keep anyone else from walking in unannounced and disturbing the peace that Richard desperately needed. Maybe he should start asking less of these questions, more yes or no kind of questions to keep Richards seemingly sore throat from getting overworked - he could answer with a nod, too, but Yujin would be lying if he claimed to not be willing to hear the voice that he somehow longed for, and while he sat there, he tried to gather his thoughts. What had happened? Richard left, and they had something going on before that - and Yujin wanted him close, still wanted that in fact, and now he was struggling to figure it all out. Was it worth digging around in his thoughts, or was it just another assumption about something he neither understood nor knowingly remembered? It probably was, it had to be, and it wouldn't make much sense to claim that it didn't or that he didn't want to. Yujin wanted to know all that he could, and if that meant he'd have to stick around and find out so many more things, he would, simply for the fact that he hoped that it would comfort Richard, and maybe give him an idea who he was before that - and that it wouldn't make him leave him yet again.

There was a good chunk of time between him closing the door and a faint knock appearing on the other side - and Yujin knocked back, jokingly, before wanting to open the door, but Richard almost came barreling out of it and Yujin, inching away just a bit, caught him. He grinned, then chuckled. "Whoa there, hold your horses! ... Do you need some help?", he asked him, meaning the weirdly tied clothes that he saw, putting Richard back onto his own two feet, but he shook his head, not expecting an answer, and fumbling with the sash before undoing it, pulling the outer layers together the right way - the inner ones were good to go anyway, and Richard didn't want him to see what was going on beneath - and then, he pulled the sash back together and tied it nicely. Richard didn't look any good in his robes, though, he was too thin for them, seemingly, and while Yujin hoped they'd keep him warm, he also only now noticed that these looked awkward on him, for one reason or the other, even if mainly seemed to be the weight that was missing. Then, Yujin wanted to dip his own head into water, and go for a quick soak, but Richard didn't ... he didn't look too well, and he didn't look like he wanted to get in there, especially not with a bunch of wet clothes. Yujin didn't mind, he grabbed Richards hand instead. "I'll get you a change of clothes, come on.", he simply told Richard and led him all the way to his room, where he made sure to put Richard on his bed - and the first thing he did was to grab both a comb and a hairtie that would fix their pesky little problems, as well as some more layers of clothing, before sitting down behind Richard. "I'll try to comb the knots out of your hair as best as I can. I'll tie it up after that, and then I'll give you some dry clothes, alright? And after that, we can go back to your room - it should be warmer there. You don't have to answer if your throat hurts, a nod or a headshake for yes and no respectively suffices, yes?"

    • Richard was caught by Yujin when he stumbled out the door and he seemingly needed a while to notice that he looked somewhat disturbed. Richard held onto him and put one hand on Yujins shoulder to keep himself on his feet. Yujin started to tug on Richards clothes, but he left most of it alone, just tying it all together as he did before. By now Richard knew how that worked, he knew how to put on Thrian clothing, but he just wanted out - not naked at that. He was sorry for being such a burden but he didn't say anything, just waited. When Yujin was done he wanted to leave, but then noticed that Richard had grown even more pale than he was before. His clothes and hair were wet, but Yujin - for some reason - wasn't bothered by it. Instead he was already doing his best to fix things. He led Richard back upstairs, but into another direction than they came from and eventually Yujin opened another door that Richard knew. It was Yujins room he was led into and he soon enough sat on Yujins bed.

Yujin was suddenly sitting himself down behind Richard. Oddly enough it didn't bother him much, he was more upset about his thoughts in the bath and about the trouble he made. He clenched his hands to fists trying to keep himself together and be less of a damn mess while Yujin explained to him what he planned to do. Richard nodded and soon after felt some comforting tugging on his hair while he fought some tears back. He only calmed down after a little while and since Yujin was still sorting out his hair, Richard looked around the room a little without moving too much. His eyes got stuck on a white piece of fur, a pillow of many in Yujins bed but it lay on the top layer. Richard recognized it, even though it wasn't as white anymore and the fur seemed kind of unordered, as if it had been used quite a lot. Richard slowly reached out his hand to touch only the corner of it, remembering when he gifted that to Yujin and how happy he had been... he even thought of what happened afterwards. It was a nice memory but he also ruined for himself by leaving the next day. Richard pulled his hand back again as if he was unworthy to touch the pillow.
    • Richards hair was different from his own, not just in color but in texture too, and Yujin liked it for much more than that - in fact, he fainly recalled praising Richard for something that he'd long forgotten, but he understood that it had meant something too him and that it had gotten so long, and he himself had gotten so thin and pale, Yujin couldn't and wouldn't recognize him. Now, he felt bad for sitting there and just doing his work, but he soon enough tried to figure out another topic they could talk about, one that the prince himself knew quite well, but even when he couldn't find one, he wasn't going to back down from it. "That reminds me, I always liked your hair.", he started, and was marbling at it, now that he was guiding his comb through it, not making haste of the process. The blonde was already sick, but he had plenty of medicine to help with that and Shuren was, for all it was worth, a capable doctor that could fix just about anything that he came into contact with. Therefore, fixing Richard shouldn't be much of a problem either. "But it never was about color, because you stood out from the others - I think I did because I thought it suited you, and because I liked looking at you, all radiant, even if your face was telling a different story."

He didn't smile now, no, he seemingly was scared of whatever he came in contact with and especially of Yujin seeing all that he was, all that he'd turned out to be, and yet, Yujin couldn't help but smile on, and try to think of how he'd make Richard the most comfortable. While he was focused on his hair, they didn't talk all that much, and yet, he eventually noticed the hand that went for something else, for that pillow that the wolf liked so much, that he found to be so soft, he wondered if it had a connection to Richard as well; was that where he'd gotten it from? And yet, before he could say anything, the hand that reached out for it shied away again, which prompted Yujin to grab the pillow, and put it into Richards lap for him. "It's fine. You ... gave this to me, right?", he wondered aloud, all the while he diligently continued his work. "Touch it as much as you'd like, especially if it brings comfort. I like it a lot, it's my favorite - and it comforts me, too." It did, and it had for as long as he remembered a Richard that was long gone by now. Yujin felt sappy, but he didn't want to ruin the mood, and the pesky knots of blonde hair were almost all untangled, but it didn't take long for those to be done either. Yujin then grabbed the hairband from earlier and tied up Richards hair, high enough for it to not touch anything. "Can you move yourself to the side a bit? I'll wring out your hair.", he elaborated and he should have done that before getting his bed wet, but it was too late now. Yujin stood up as Richard moved the slightest bit, bringing the end of the ponytail with him and wrining it out on an already uneven floor. Once that was done, maybe it'd dry overnight. As Yujin let go for a bit, he walked over to his wardrobe and looked for some more dry clothes - some that would keep Richard warm regardless - and then brought them over. "Are the lower layers dry? If so, you can just put those three on, if not, I'll take a quick step outside so you can put the inner robes on, too." This was already a bit harrowing, if not exhausting for Richard - at least Yujin guessed it was - but they could go take a nap soon. Wait ... they?

    • Whenever Yujin talked like that Richard felt like he truly remembered him, though he also knew, that he probably got very good at hiding the fact he forgot about everything. Still, he remembered Richards grumpy face - or did he? Richards face wasn't very radiant right now either and he had mentioned something about himself before... or did he? Richard was confused, but he knew what he wanted to believe. Either way, Yujin wanted to help him and who was he to not accept it. It was hard to get rid of Yujin anyway and without having the strength to fight or argue, there was nothing much he could do anyway. Still he felt bad, he hoped that he'd not linger around all the time, even though Richard didn't want to be alone. he should live his life forever, meet friends, go for a drink or whatever he did in his sparetime. Richard would be fine on his own somehow, he had not died yet after all. A short visit was more than enough, he didn't have to comb him, dress him or help him wash or eat... they probably had servants for that too.

Yujin had seen Richards hand move and now the blonde nodded. Yes he did give this pillow to him and a scarf, but he couldn't see it right now. Suddenly the prince grabbed his pillow and forced into the blondes arms. he didn't know what to do with it, just stared at the pillow and held it with uncertainty. Then he shook his head. It was Yujins, he should keep it and thus Richard softly put it on the bed again. All the while Yujin had untangled Richards hair and now tugged some more to tie it up. Richard never wore it like that before. He did as he was told and Yujin made sure Richards hair wasn't as wet anymore. Then he brought some more clothes. Richard again looked at everything kind of bewildered. The lower layers were wet, but it didn't matter, Richard didn't want to trouble Yujin any more and slipped out of the upper layers he currently wore. Then he got into the knew ones. Richard was tired and his head was spinning after that... Yujin was somehow very exhausting. The blonde just wanted to lie down.
    • They had done so much in such a short amount of time, Yujin was actually worrying about Richard passing out on him - but he hadn't, he'd held up very well and the wolf would have said something about it, but it felt like it would only sound misguided. Instead, he was wondering if the pillow as a mistake, or if none of this was supposed to be happening the way it was. Well, it hardly mattered, because they were done here, and all that was left was to get Richard something to eat, some more energy to burn through, but Yujin didn't need to ask again - too many times and Richard would probably feel like nobody was listening to him and that all he said was falling on deaf ears anyway. "We should get you back to bed.", he said, and that he meant, because as it stood, Yujin was not only comically underdressed, but the heat in the bathroom had made him sort of sleepy. As if he decided that he'd spend time with Richard for the remainder of the day, he grabbed both the prince off of his bed, as well as one of his blankets and the pillow that Richard had just put back on his bed. My, what an indecisive fellow he was.

He was glad to figure out that yes, the pillow he adored so much more than anything, was a gift from someone that he'd very much cared about and that if all things went on the way they did, maybe it wouldn't be the last gift he got from Richard. Still, he didn't want to pester him about why he'd been gifted something like that, or how Richard knew that Yujin would like it - the logistics weren't important at this point, it was important that they both felt good enough and with Yujin trailing off, back to Richards much warmer room, he had enough food for thought anyway. Whatever was he to do with all that he'd heard and seen, and whatever was it that kept both of them going? It was a stupid question, but one that he rightfully asked - and once he'd carried both of them back to where they ought to be, he sat Richard down on his bed. There was food, soup to be precise, but it looked sad and wasn't all that warm anymore - and yet, he didn't ask about whatever or not Richard wanted to eat it. Instead, he put his own stuff on the bed as well, and sat back down with Richard, grabbing the note his dad had scribbled. "You should take your medicine first, and then we'll get you some rest ... hm, the blue stuff and the cough syrup you can take now ... the fever medicine after you ate some, as well as the painkillers. Do you need painkillers right now?", he asked, patiently waiting for a nod and a headshake. "It says to take a spoonful of the blue stuff, and one of the cough syrup."

    • Richard was tired and going to bed sounded very good. He hadn't moved as much in the last past weeks, no, not even months. He had walked to his fathers room and back two times and other than that he mostly stayed in bed. Sometimes a maid would have come by to help him into the bathroom and there she scrubbed the fallen prince off. When Richard came back he usually went to sleep right away. When Dayan visited he talked and talked usually. Sometimes he got angry because Richard didn't really listen or refused to go outside with him, but he never forced him to. Today he made the way to the castle on his own, he went to the bath, got out of his own clothes and in again and thus he did too much for his body to handle. He was glad that Yujin just picked him up and as it stood Richard could have fallen asleep like that. He noticed Yujin also grabbed his pillow and blanket which made Richard somewhat happy. He didn't want Yujin to waste his day, but he appreciated his company.

Richard found himself on his bed again and Yujin started talking about the medicine. What to take when and now and... Richard wasn't able to focus. He looked down on his own feet noticing only now that he left his shoes and sock in the bath. He didn't even noticle that his feet were unusually cold, but it was way too cold overall anyway. Yujin still kept talking, wanting him to tell what he should take nor. Instead of complying Richard simply let himself fall down onto his bed. He was ready to sleep and he wasn't hungry anyway, he didn't want to eat. He just wanted to sleep, his head was spinning and his ears rang. He appreciated all Yujin had done, but it had been a little bit too much for Richards weak body. Maybe he was able to sleep anyway. He closed his eyes, not truly listening to Yujin anymore. He didn't want to move, his body felt too heavy. Aside from being weak and way too thin he also was sick, so it was only natural that he was beat. He wondered if Dayan would be mad if he knew, but how much did he really care about his brother anymore?
    • Yujin wasn’t sure what prompted him, but it ought to be his father and the decisions that his old man had made for him back at the harbor - if not for Muhan, he’d probably not even feigned interest in Richard for now, or even recognized him as a muddled up remnant of his past. Still, there was no knowing if Richard truly was who he ought to be, or if Yujin was getting the entirely wrong picture. Did they truly have a bond with one another? It seemed that way, but whatever it had been seemed awfully weird at this point - a variety of things had transpired and while Yujin was unable to figure out what all of them were, at least for now, he ought to try his best to remember; he promised Richard to do so if he gave him a chance, and he hadn’t been denied said chance anyway. Whatever was he to do now that he had the opportunity at his fingertips? “We sho- … sleep?”, he wanted to ask, but as Richard plopped down on the bed, Yujin could only giggle faintly. Alright, he was beat and ready for a visit to dreamland, although he had medicine to take - but it was fine, maybe it’d be a short nap and they could figure all of this out after said nap.

He set the instructions back aside on the bedside table, noticing the small cloth bag that Muhan had dropped on it, but he didn’t dare take a peek inside, as if it wasn’t for him to see - instead, he used it to keep the sheet of paper down, and now that Richard lay there, he actually felt a wave of tiredness wash over himself for a good second. The prince yawned, took a look at Richard and then, before noticing anything else, got back up to rummage through his wardrobe, in the search for something - a good pair of wooly socks, which Richard didn’t seem to have, but two pairs of his normal ones would suffice, and Yujin did put them on when he came back. The bath had been his idea, and keeping Richard save was also his task that he’d entrusted himself with - he didn’t want him to wake up and feel even worse, or freeze to death because silessian temperatures weren’t something he was used to any longer. After that, however, he crawled into Richards bed, pulling the curtains close on either side, as if they would help with locking the cold out, before laying down himself and pulling Richard into his embrace to keep him warm - as well as pulling a variety of blankets over both of them, just to be save. Even if Yujin would get warm, he could bear it - and if Richard couldn’t, they’d have to figure something out. His grip on Richard was tight enough, but he closed his own eyes now. “Good night, Richard.”, he muttered under his breath. Whenever had he become so tired himself? Yujin didn’t recall, but he still wanted to spend Richard some more comfort …

    • Richard only faintly recognized Yujins voice and some rummaging, but he didn't open his eyes again, nor did he lay down in bed completely and with his head on the pillow. He just had dropped down where he was and didn't move anymore. He was cold though, he didn't pull a blanket over himself after all, but even fot that he didn't want to move. He noticed how his feet were slightly tickled however, Yujin was putting on some socks, then put his legs into his bed and Richards head on his pillow. There was some more noise and some shifting until it finally grew warm. Yujins hands were warm, his whole body was actually and thus there was a source of heat that was able to warm up the air under all the blankets. Richard more asleep than awake cuddled up to Yujin and simultaneously vanished under the blanket almost completely. Only his hair was visible still. The blonde actually fell asleep completely, he didn't notice anything around him anymore and even some slight coughs didn't wake him up.

Richard didn't sleep for very long however. Neither did he when he first came to Silesse nor did he now on his second visit. The nightmares grew worse since he was captured and they woke him up time and time again. He didn't say anything though, he mostly just shifted slightly and searched for a nice, warm and comfortable place in Yujins arms like a cat. He nuzzled up to him warming his legs and feet wherever he could and he mostly was rolling up with his legs close to his body. Whenever he shorty woke up he needed to make sure where he was and once he felt Yujins warm body, he was better again, drifting back to sleep. He was so tired and beat from the journey and the fever that he wasn't bothered with his thoughts when he was awake at least and thus falling back asleep mostly took only a few seconds. It was only the next morning when he woke up for real, no longer able to sleep and he needed a moment to realize that no, this wasn't a dream, he truly was in Silesse and Yujin was right there with him.
    • A short nap was all Yujin wanted and needed, he was sure of that, and he did get just that - he was already awake the first time that Richard roused from his own sleep, but he didn‘t say a word and lay there, letting the blonde choose the pace at which they were going, only to go right back to sleeping. Yujin caressed the blondes back, noticing the wet spots and only sighed - he couldn‘t change it like this, and Richard didn‘t want him to see, so he had to live with it for now, hoping that he‘d get up rather sooner than latter, so they could get him dressed appropriately, and yet, every single time the bundle in his arms seemed to wake up and move, he went right back to sleep. Initially, the prince thought about counting the instances and realizing the length between them for both of them, but he‘d lost count at some point when he started drifting off by himself as well, and whenever Richard woke him up in turn, he remained in the position he was in, only slightly adjusting to make it comfortable for them both. While his bedmate seemingly lacked energy, Yujin had a surplus of it, and for some reason, he found himself wondering if something similar to this had happened before - cuddling Richard felt nice, regardless of how much he tossed and turned.

The wolf had dozed off himself in the middle of the night, and now that he found himself waking up, it wasn‘t because of the sun that was even coming through their curtains, but rather because Richard was on the prowl, moving in his arms once more. Was it already that late? Yujin couldn‘t believe he‘d slept for so long, and not spend his night doing whatever and looking out for Richard, but now that he was awake and fairly aware of his surroundings, he wondered what had gotten him so tired in the first place. „Good morning“, he eventually mumbled, looking at Richard who seemingly hadn‘t had a good night - and yet, that didn‘t matter, Yujin didn‘t sleep all that well often enough and he was happy to comfort someone that needed it. For now, he didn‘t need to rush, he wanted to take it slow - today was just another one of many days and as far as things went, he didn‘t have many obligations, he only had to figure out Richards medicine and what they‘d do - building endurance was important, but it was hard enough on an empty stomach and a frail frame with less and less energy to spend. Medicine first, then food, but for that, he‘d have to get Richard up and running, as best as he could. “Want to get up?”, he asked, and didn’t ask about Richards night on purpose - they both knew how well it went and Yujin somehow figured it might have been a sore topic ages ago as well, whenever that had been. “Feeling any better?”
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Yujin wished Richard a good morning, but all the blonde could do in return was nuzzling up to him a bit more. Then again, he probably shouldn't keep him here for so long, he already spent the night which he didn't have to do. It had been nice though, very much so, even if it didn't get rid of Richards nightmares. Richard didn't want to get up, no, he never did and he just grabbed parts of Yujins clothing and his his face while also still being under the blanket. He never wanted to come out again, but he needed to let Yujin go at some point. He changed his mind and slowly let go of him, slowly inching a bit away so that Yujin could get up if he wanted to. Occupying him day and night was unfair and Richard would be fine without him for a while. He'd come back after all, right? Even if not, he appreciated what Yujin had done so far and Richard wanted to take some responsibility, or Yujin would never leave him out of his sight again.

Richard slowly crept out from under the blanket and sat up. He looked at the nightstand with all the medicine and a cold soup. He still remembered what he had to take, but first he nodded at Yujin. He at least felt a bit better he supposed. Then he took the spoon from the cold soup and the medicine he was supposed to take. He swallowed it all, then put the spoon back into the soup that didn't look very appetizing. Richard didn't want to eat it or anything else even though there was some things he shouldn't take on an empty stomach. To be honest he was surprised he didn't get food on a schedule, but maybe it was still too early for that. Now that he thought about it, he did feel better after all, his mind wasn't rampaging and he felt like he could at least sit here. He didn't feel like talking though, not at all, even though he probably should have told Yujin to leave and come back later.
    • He had had hopes, none of them were as dire as the situation that Richard had been in before, but right now, he still didn't get answers, not verbal ones, and Yujin had to admit that he missed Richards voice, and that simple nods and shakes, while enough, didn't have the same effect. Regardless, he was the one that whined when Richard moved away, audibly at that, but not for long. This was a weird way to handle the loss of contant to someone that he had tried to wake up and get up and running, and now he was complaining because Richard had moved away. Yujin wasn't tired, not in the slightest, and he had no idea what it was that he was going to keep talking about, fearing that he'd be branded as an annoying loudmouth by yet another person, but he knew better than to judge and ask himself why he as someone like that in the first place. His eyes trailed after the lone figure in the bed they shared, not moving himself, but he did take the medicine - even if he didn't touch the soup the slightest bit, though, some of the medicine was probably not going to do him wonders that way. By now, yesterdays food was cold and stale anyway, and therefore, he hatched a plan, even if it was a stupid one.

Yujin moved closer to Richard again, to show him that no, he wasn't meaning that he wanted to get out and lose all the warmth they had shared, but rather that it might have been time for both of them to get out of bed, even if one of them was more well-off than the other, who seemingly appeared to be not much more than bones and some skin, with some tidbits of flesh here and there. "The soup is cold anyway.", he stated, and yes, as a matter of fact it was apparent and he was surprised that it hadn't frozen solid with the spoon inside, but Yujin guessed that Richard wasn't going to appreciate ice-cold, near frigid gloop in an equally as cold bowl - and the prince wouldn't either, no one fancied that. "I'll get up now and I'll get us something, yes? Do you want to come with me?", he inquired, before actually making the necessary moves. Then, however, he also stopped in his tracks - Richard could use some good, wooly socks for that matter, and something to keep his hands occupied for the time that he did spend in bed, even if Yujin was there and the blonde didn't feel like talking much. "If you want me to stay, nod. If you want me to leave, shake your head.", he instructed Richard, already smiling at him. Then, he figured that he could also ... braid is hair? That way it wouldn't get matted again, but Yujin would also prefer to wash all of it, but there was no rush to do so. There were many more things he wanted to ask, but he feared they'd be a bit too much for Richard right now.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Yujin came closer again. If it was up to Richard he'd want to have him here all the time. He'd want to cuddle and listen to whatever he had to talk about but for that Yujin actually needed to do things. Richard was able to wait patiently here, he'd be fine. Being alone in his room never had been much fun, but the nights were worse. If Yujin could stay here during those it was more than enough for Richard, though he also had something he needed to be honest about. A lot of things actually, but one at a tim had to suffice. Right now however he looked at Yujin who already had plans for their morning. He understood that the soup wasn't very appetizing anymore and thus someone had to get something else. In fact Richard felt like he was able to eat just a little bit, just not that cold grey soup from yesterday, but Yujin asked too many questions at once. He nodded when Yujin told him he'd get some food, but immediately afterwards he quickly shook his head, because he didn't want to go with him. He rather stayed in bed and waited.

It would have been easier if Richard just talked, he was able to afterwards and Yujin knew that, he already heard his voice. Maybe Richard felt it was easier to not get asked too many questions if he remained silent after all and even though there were some things he probably should have shared, he wasn't ready just yet. Even then, follow up questions wasn't what he wanted. For now he looked at Yujin who got up and ready to get some food, whatever he did afterwards was up to him. Richard hesitantly shook his head, knowing that he couldn't lock Yujin up in here anyway and once Yujin left and closed the door to get some breakfast, Richard took the time to look around his room a little. He spotted his bag in some corner and some clothes that he wouldn't be able to use here. There wasn't much more in there except the fireplace in an ice castle that felt out of place. Richard wanted to get something, but it didn't need to be right now, in fact he'd give it at least another week. Now he only rolled up under the blanket again to stay warm.
