    • Everyone had their own reasons for a plethora of different things - Yujin wasn't supposed to judge them, or dig deeper when all they talked about was Richards family, no. Ever single time that he'd asked too much, it'd been at the wrong time and all he did was cause pain to someone he held incredibly dear. Surely, he could have come up with a ton of excuses for his behavior - and yet, they weren't worth anything, never had been, to be exact and he also knew that Richard wasn't stupid - and Yujin wasn't one for lies, at least most of the time. "In the end, only he knows.", he answered, swiftly, willing to let the current topic of conversation go for something more pleasant, something both of them were able to enjoy instead. The past was just that, yet, if someone found themselves unable to let go, it was best to not pester them about it, as it would lead nowhere. "I can run after you, even if you'd take off, you know? My leg is fine." That, however, was a lie on his own part - it never would be fine, that much was clear, and the fact that he hadn't ran off himself was because this damned thing was still hurting, despite the medicine he'd taken; the pain was dull, nothing that'd stop him from going out, but annoying enough to hinder him from actually having some sort of stupid, childish fun. "What I'm saying is, I like holding your hand, but if you'd rather play games, I'd not complain." Silessian nights were long, always had been, always would be - and the darker it got, the colder it was, which was very much the reason for all the layers they were wearing. Locking out the cold was one thing, inviting it in another and Yujin wasn't sure if he actually wanted to go for a frigid swim today, given both of their circumstances - risking it wasn't on his agenda, but he'd see whatever else would happen eventually.

"Like, appease him and hope for the best? That never helped, even before you came here. But I wouldn't mind waiting, it doesn't have to be tomorrow. And besides, the upcoming winter is long, cold and lonely - we'll have plenty of opportunities to go out and look for a warmer place!", Yujin laughed, overjoyed at the thought itself. There were so many more things out there he wanted to see, that he wanted to show Richard as well and if they actually found time, maybe they could actually put up a small hut among all the green grass they'd find, poking out from beneath patches of melting snow and ice. "Maybe I'll tell you if it comes true." And if it didn't, that would mean ... Richard wouldn't be here to hear it anyway. It was silly, and the wolf shook his head in response to the thought alone. "Actually, no. Not that kind of wet anyway. But you aren't opposed to it, right?" Richard wasn't going to take a swim, Yujin would make sure of that and not hold onto him, somehow, some way, or something like that - they'd doom themselves like that. Instead, he came closer to Richard, now that he'd sat down next to him - hopefully he wasn't the only one enjoying it. "True, you didn't. But I guess ... no, nevermind." He just wanted to prove that he was right, didn't he? There was silence for a while, long enough for him to wonder what was happening - why he was so clingy, why he didn't want to let go and when the fireworks would actually start, but none of that was important right about now. "A present for me?", he asked, flabberghasted as he looked over to the blonde. "Isn't that supposed to be my line? ... I have one for you as well, but it ... comes with a precondition. I'd trade it for yours, though." Richard would never say yes to his assinine request and still, Yujin smiled like the idiot he was - he'd never hear the end of it if his object of affection were to open it now; that was fine, though.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Mhh.", was all Richard replied with a nod, he didn't want to think about his family right now. Maybe knowing that today was goodbye made him think of all the people he lost already and Yujin would just be one more on the list. Richard would vanish, there wouldn't be a clue of him left and Yujin could live on without him, that was what enabled him to go in the first place. If it meant ripping Yujins heart out and seeing him sad, thinking about what he could have done for the rest of his life, maybe Richard wouldn't manage to leave, but he could like this. "You're limping...", Richard pointed out, catching Yujin in a lie. He doubted he'd be able to run like this and maybe the medicine his father gave him was needed after all. Though wasn't Yujins mind clearer now? He seemed to remember things after all... whatever, it wasn't anything Richard could change in the first place. "Games? Not really, it's fine... just you could have used your hand before and I am left with none like this.", Richard replied, but he also didn't pull his hand away.

Richard wondered if Yujin could see the little pinch in Richards heart when he told him what they could do all winter. What was worth, not being able to do that or lying to Yujin in this moment? Maybe this final day had been a mistake. "Will you remember your wish?", he asked to change the topic and he doubted Yujin would. "Not that kind of wet? What kind then?", Richard asked a little bit confused, he wasn't sure what to think but Yujin would tell him sooner or later, shutting up wasn't really something he could do. "Yeah a present...", Richard mumbled and eventually pulled his hand out of Yujins to use it to grab the present he tucked away beneath his coat. He pulled out a leather bundle, held together by some string. Inside was something he had Nayantai take care of without Yujin noticing the last week. He thought a while about what to give him, he wanted to do something with the bears fur he brought back home. Yujin didn't need a coat or a blanket, so it ended up being a pillow, filled with feathers, but the outside was the bears fur. They found enough spots that weren't damaged too badly and with a good wash even the bloodstains were washed out. There was another thing inside, more a gimmick and Richard wasn't sure if Yujin needed something like that. There was lots of fur so he also ordered a scarf for Yujin. Now Richard placed the package between them, but he couldn't muster a smile. He wasn't even sure if Yujin would like it. "You don't have to give me another present, you just gave me the knife."
    • Yujin was hitting all the wrong topics now, almost as if it were a retribution for doing fine for the last week, but he didn't want it to be, he wanted to enjoy the fireworks and he wanted to spend as much time with Richard as possible, without thinking about what would happen eventually. It still felt weird, considering they were sitting out here and just talking, waiting for something to happen and even if Yujin tried to shake that weird feeling off, something wasn't right and it would probably come to bite him in the ass not long after. Had he done something wrong? No, that wasn't it. "Am I? I feel fine. And even if I am limping, I could still ... no, I probably couldn't. It'll take forever until I can outrun you, I don't have the stamina for it." It happened before, Yujin knew that, but it was odd - his head felt strangely clear and those incidents felt more graspable than ever, as if they were closer than before, not pushed to the back of his mind or completely forgotten. What was the reason for that? The last time he checked, he hadn't made a deal with the devil and therefore, there was just one explanation for it, wasn't there? "Oh. But you don't need a hand right now, do you? Well, aside from the obvious.", the wolf admitted, embarrassed that he didn't think that through. Didn't it hurt? Did Richard want to put his hurt arm onto something, elevate it maybe? They could build something like an armrest out of snow for sure. "I'll write it down, just to be sure. Come to think of it, I wrote down an embarrassing amount of stuff already.", Yujin calmly admitted, joking about it despite meaning it. There were enough things he didn't want to forget, yet couldn't retain, and he jotted all of them down, just to be safe, just to have somewhere to go back to if his memory failed him, but he had that book nowhere near him ... or was it more than one? He couldn't recall that, wasn't sure, but it didn't matter tonight. "You can be quite dense, huh? All jokes aside, our clothes will probably be kind of wet if we sit out here for hours on end, that's what I meant." That he did, for once not having an ulterior motive - but now that he gave it a thought, he hardly ever had an ulterior motive besides making Richard happy, even if it backfired a good amount of times before, this here was different, or so he wanted to believe, simply because there was something in the air that he couldn't quite grasp just yet.

Richards hand was gone from his own soon enough and he wondered what would happen next, why the suspsense was rising and why his heart started pounding; Yujin was an idiot, through and through, maybe an embarrassed one as well. Then, he couldn't stop grinning. "A knife? Wasn't that your fathers gift to you? I'm pretty sure I gifted you some neckerchiefs. Who's forgetful now?", he teased instead, taking the mix-up with good humor. Yujin places his own hands on the present he was receiving, taking it in his lap and carefully untying all the leather strands to reveal ... some fur? It was hard to tell in all the darkness out here, but it was seemingly white and soft to the touch - was that bear fur? Seemingly so, which henceforth prompted Yujin to prod the object and eventually take it out of his packaging, before something fell into his lap as he held the pillow against wherever he thought he'd find a lightsource. Then, he picked up what had fallen into his lap and figured out it was ... a scarf? Soft laughter emitted from his lips as he stashed the pillow away and put the scarf on. This was marvelous to say the least, and they both were so very soft! "Thank you, Richard. These are great. With a pillow like that I'm bound to have a good nights sleep, and the scarf will keep me warm! But .. you really didn't have to, you know?" Yujin leaned over, offering Richard a shy peck on his cheek before scuttling back to his former seat. So Richard was unable to think about what he wanted to do with the fur for himself after all, huh? Then, he was rummaging through his clothes to procure his own present. It was smaller than Richards by far, but it was also hidden away in an intricate wooden box with miscellaneous carvings on all sides, adorning even the tiniest of corners. What lay within was something so silly, Richard would probably toss it away the moment he opened the box, which also prompted Yujin to grab Richards hand and place the box within it. "This is ... silly, but listen. I don't know when you leave, I don't know when I have the opportunity to give you this if I keep it now, so I want you to have it. Hold onto it and take it with you, but for the love of whatever you believe in, don't open it until you're far away, alright?", Yujin asked of Richard, still grinning at him like and idiot and closing the blondes fingers around the present, as if he wanted to force him to accept it, without being able to say no in the first place. What lay within the package would probably be obvious to anyone who grew up around here, judging by the way it was packaged alone, but he didn't need to spell it out, not tonight and not for anyone.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "Didn't you want to train more?", Richard asked with a sigh, followed with a small smile. Richard wasn't as strong as he wanted to be, maybe not even as strong as he needed to be for what he wanted to do, especially now that he still had to heal. Nayantai gave in without a fight, killing a bear seemed to have been enough or maybe he noticed that not even someone he was in love with was able to keep him at one place. Wait... in love...? Maybe that went a little bit far, but... at the very least he felt attracted to Yujin and Nayantai pointed it out more than once. "I don't. It's fine." Richard would never understand why he wasn't able to let go, to just say what he thought or do what he felt like. He felt like he was sending all the wrong signals towards Yujin sometimes, but then again he was still here. "You mean stuff regarding me or in general?", Richard wanted to know, but how would Yujin even remember what he wrote down? That was probably a stupid question, as well as the question about what he wrote down. "I think it's so cold out here I won't be able to melt snow under my ass even if I tried...", Richard then grumbled,

"Err... sorry, that night is kinda hazy. I'm not even sure how I ended up in bed...", Richard mumbled apologetic. The bloodloss, the adrenalin and the medication he took made a mess out of his birthday. The pain still lingered on and was pulsating in his arm, sometimes even his side when he didn't take care. Nayantai and Yujin alike forbid Richard to carry things around, even if it was only a pot to water his plants. Now however he watched Yujin unpack his present. It was dark, but he probably could feel what it was anyway. The scarf even found it's way around Yujins neck - did he like the present? "Ugh it's fine...", Richard replied shaking his head. "I had so much of that damn fur anyway..." Still Richard got a short kiss on his cheek, even though he just looked at the scenary as soon as Yujin took his eyes off his present. He only looked over when Yujin was the one presenting his present now. Before he could do anything Yujin grabbed Richards hand and put the present inside, closing his fingers over it right after. It was too dark too see much, but Richard could feel it was made out of wood. "Why?", he simply asked after getting the instructions to not open it until he left, which was... very soon anyway.
    • "I did?", he asked, confused once more - that was something he couldn't recall, yet, maybe Richard was right and he'd indeed spouted nonsense like that, given the fact that oftentimes, Yujin wasn't even sure what he was doing himself or why he was doing it. What was the right answer, then? Probably the one Richard had for him and spoke aloud with confidence that the wolf wanted to have as well. All of that, however, was merely an assumption and a faraway dream, after all, he knew well enough that whatever he was going to try, it wouldn't lead anywhere once he forgot about his original goal. "Do you want to hold mine, then?", he asked, but he would leave the choice itself to Richard, knowing fairly well that whatever was happening didn't matter much - the night was young, the fireworks were probably about to start and still, he wouldn't want any of this any other way; he couldn't hope for much more than the things he already was so painfully aware of anyway. "Both, but mostly you and the things I do with you. I want to remember them just like that, but oftentimes, some things just ... don't stick, and I don't want you to remember all those things for me.", Yujin mumbled, quite defeated in fact, knowing all too well that he couldn't just bring a book somewhere and browse it like an encyclopedia whenever he felt like he should remember something about Richard. Maybe training his memory was a better choice. "I beg to differ, but we'll see." Yujin cuddled into the scarf once more, swiftly repackaging the pillow lest it got wet and then he wasn't sure if he wanted to cuddle up to Richard or leave it be, for a matter of fact.

Somehow, he just liked sitting here without a care in the world, talking away about things that had passed and wondering whatever or not he was doing the right thing by staying so close, unwilling to accept any form or kind of defeat in the first place. "Don't sweat it." And for once, Yujin had beaten Richard to it, remembered more than he had and understood more than the blonde could, yet, he wouldn't blame him for it. Forgetting something was natural and nothing out of the ordinary after all, that much was painfully clear. "Regardless, thank you. I really like it!", he chuckled, and he did mean it. Another pillow for a sea of pillows, yet, this one was special, different even - and Yujin would cherish it, just like the scarf that probably would come in handy whenever he fled the castle during a snowstorm and made his way to the hut. That'd be fun as well, especially when they were snowed in and he had all the time in the world to annoy Richard, or rather spend time with him, and Yujin couldn't wait for it to happen - in fact, he couldn't wait for winter to happen, that was. Yujins gaze wandered back to the horizon, patiently waiting for any kind of firework that was bound to happen sooner than later. "It's a parting gift. And as much, as I'd like to see your reaction, it's better if you open it on your own. And besides, I can't keep you here forever anyway, that's just wishful thinking, so I might as well just give you something for your journey, right? ... But that's not important, we still have plenty of time together.", he explained, looking almost apologetical and scratching the back of his head as if he was embarrassed by the things he'd just spat out. "That aside, what would happen if I ..." If he what? Tickling Richard basically anywhere was out of question - the skin on his throat was pretty much dead, his side was injured and Yujin couldn't fathom where that injury was under all those clothes. Just as he was waffling about it, there was loud crackling on the horizon however - the fireworks had started and the wolf was instantly mesmerized as soon as they came into his field of vision.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "You said that...", Richard said once more, because he knew Yujin couldn't recall it for real and didn't just ask as if he couldn't remember. It didn't matter much to Richard however, Yujin could do whatever he wanted. Richard kept up his training, when he was allowed to, not like last week. Yujin and Nayantai would have wanted him in bed all day apparently. "What? I don't care...", Richard mumbled. Holding Yujins hand meant he had none to use for himself, right now he didn't need it though, but he also couldn't say that he wanted to hold his hand. It didn't matter much to him, holding it or not, it didn't make much of a difference or did it? "I told you it'd fine for me if I'm the only one remembering...", he then said with a short sigh. What did Yujin write down anyway? Where they went, what they did? In how much detail? Did Richard need to be concerned someone else could read about all of that? He probably would be very embarrassed. "How long until the firework starts?" Richard wasn't necessarily cold right now, but he also didn't know what to do with himself in this moment.

"Just don't...", Richard started but then he simply stopped. "No forget it." He wanted to ask Yujin to not forget who he got that pillow from, but he would and it would be better that way. He shouldn't remember Richard, he shouldn't search for him and wonder why he wasn't reclaiming his country, why he vanished from earth. He shouldn't search for Richard or cry over him, he wanted none of that for him. It was better Yujin forgot he ever existed and that pillow would just be one of many in his room. "Yeah... you're right...", Richard responded upon Yujin looking forward to so much time together that would never happen. The blonde looked at the present in his hand and couldn't bring himself to tell Yujin that he gave that to him in the exact right moment. "Fine then." He'd not open it until he left which was right after he parted ways with Yujin. "If you what?", Richard questioned but in the next moment the sky was lit in many different colors. The firework had started and Richard looked at all the colors, but only for a little while. His gaze fell upon Yujin instead who looked mesmerized like a little child by what he saw and Richard was in turn not able to take his eyes off of him. This would be their last night together, not for now, forever. Yujin had been such a pain in Richards ass, but now... what would Richard have given for a little bit more peace and naivety as he had. Just being happy about something as a firework.
    • Whatever Yujin had been thinking about suddenly seemed distant, whisked away with the rest of his worries as his gaze was suddenly glued onto the colors that lit up the nightsky, that crackled for only one minute and then disappeared, fading over a short amount of time. It was enough to take in, to remember for a while, but in the end, fireworks were just that: Short excitement, and if one were to think too much about either of them, it would almost be as if their relationship was akin to that, sizzling out eventually - only persisting for a short amount of time, and Yujin was the one that didn't want to let go and tried to prolong it. None of that mattered tonight, to Yujin it almost was like if the sudden surge of excitement, the childlike glee that washed over him in waves, meant nothing more than the fact that he'd been wrong all along, that none of this was a parting, some sort of odd goodbye that he'd simply misunderstood before. In fact, like this, out here, when mostly the faint glow of the rising moon and those bright fireworks illuminated his face - up here, in the middle of nowhere - he felt as if the world lay at his feet and if anything, he was to make it a more enjoyable place, not only for himself, but Richard as well. For a moment, he was captured by what he was looking at - by a display so shortlived, yet so bright, he couldn't help but wonder what the lightning blooms in the sky were meant to be. "Richard, look, aren't they beautiful?", he chuckled, not even once looking at the blonde up until now, who had his eyes fixated on him instead, not what he was actually supposed to see.

Wasn't that weird? Whatever or not it truly was, it hardly mattered to either of them at this point - Yujin enjoyed the view he'd gotten, moreso because he was to share it with someone he held so very dear to his heard, he'd no longer be able to think about letting him go just about anywhere if this went on; Yujin didn't want Richard to leave, had made it painfully clear to himself and probably the blonde as well, but part of growing up was to accept that sometimes, the gods didn't play in ones favor and seemingly had different plans. What did he want, then? He couldn't leave, he'd only be a bother on whatever journey Richard had to undertake and it was an understatement to claim that he wasn't ready to do something like that - he couldn't even spend two nights out in the wilderness without fearing that something would happen. "Forget what?", he teased, coming ever closer to someone that couldn't take his eyes off of him - and if that was the case, maybe the fireworks weren't important, weren't on Richards mind all the time and weren't actually what he thought about. Of course, it could also mean that Richard had just ... "See something you like?", the wolf giggled instead and he was, quite frankly, enjoying himself much more than he should be. There wasn't much out here, and while the bedazzling fireworks were still going, with no signs of stopping, Yujin brought his face up to that of the blonde, smiling coyly. Asking Richard never led anywhere, it would only embarrass or annoy him, which was why he looked for the blondes hand, grabbed it, and leaned forward to kiss him instead. "If I kiss you. That's what I wanted to ask."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • The fireworks in the distant painted the sky and the snow in all kinds of colors. That Thrians were the ones coming up with something like that probably was unreal to many Adrestians, but they did and everyone enjoyed it whenever a firework was happening. Still Richard didn't even really look at it, only from the corner of his eye, as if Yujin would just vanish if he didn't watch him closely right now. He shot a short glance to the horizon when Yujin prompted him too. He enjoyed the colors as well as the sounds the firework made when going off, he couldn't exactly say why. After all this time imprisoned in snow and ice, Richard enjoyed seeing color. Red, blue, yellow, all of those he somehow had missed around him, even though people, especially Yujin always wore colorful clothing. it hadn't been the same however. "Y-yes...", Richard simply answered, looking at the spectacle a while more, then looking back at Yujin again who could have watched this the whole night probably. How long would this be going anyway? And how soon after would they part ways?

"Nevermind, it isn't important.", he answered Yujins question, he didn't need to remember who he got that pillow from, not even that it was important to him. It was just a pillow made out of fur Richard didn't need once back in Adrestia and besides that, after pillow and scarf there had been still some left. Nayantai even asked him if he wanted to keep the head, but Richard declined, the hut would be abandoned soon enough. "I... mh...", Richard had been called out. He took his eyes off of Yujin, turning them to the fireworks as he should. Yujin didn't mind that he knew, but still Richard was embarrassed and he didn't want to have to explain to Yujin why he was acting like he did. His eyes weren't glued to the sky for very long however, Yujin came closer and prompted Richard to look at him once more, only to receive a kiss that he returned. He stayed close to Yujin afterwards. Had Yujin asked him that question before, Richard would have returned the question and aske dhim what he think would happen, most probably not in the most friendly tone. Now however he didn't know what to say and his cheeks felt hotter than just a few moments ago. "Mh... I see."
    • Fireworks were lovely, for many more reasons than just that they were nice to look at an Yujin had to admit that he'd not have wanted it any other way - being up here, away from other people, was actually so much more enjoyable and sticking close to Richard suddenly felt like it was a given, not something he'd have to shyly ask for and be sneaky about. No one could see and if the wolf had to make up his mind, he'd have to admit that whatever had gotten into the blonde was kind of weird, even though he liked it and couldn't help himself but wonder if this would be happening regularly from now one. It was nice, as much as the kiss he received in return was, and it also was nice to imagine the slight blush on Richards already sort of rosy face - something that was only undermined by the sudden stammering that came from the blondes lips. Yujin couldn't help but giggle, probably much like some sort of hopelessly infatuated girl that had the chance to cling close to her almost oblivious crush, with the slight difference that neither of them seemingly were oblivious to the crush they had on one another and both of them weren't exactly girls either. "Cat got your tongue?", he inquired instead, but that was very much it. Tonight wasn't about teasing Richard, it hardly ever was - it was about making both of them feel at home, or at least some sort of comfortable, with whatever Yujin had at his disposal to begin with.

Whatever should he do? There was nothing he could think about for now, nothing that made much sense, not with whatever happened at the horizon and disturbed the darkness of the night, illuminating both of them just momentarily in different hues, before fading out of existence and being replaced with another one. The crackling didn't sound too bad and it would've been a lie if he didn't sneak some looks at Richard himself, even if he only now watched the fireworks. Didn't they both like looking at each other just a bit too much? "No snarky remarks today?", Yujin teased instead, but he knew that it didn't matter - it never did, he always pushed forward even if Richard was the one protesting for whatever reason, wasn't it? "Maybe I should just start asking less questions and doing more stuff, that way you'd not be able to get mad at me!" That, however, was more of a joke than anything and his tone of voice indicated as much. Doing anything beyond kissing, out here no less, felt kind of odd, however - the thought alone was weird - and still, he felt like pressing at least some of those buttons he usually desperately looked for, just because. He kissed Richard on his lips again, knowing fully well that he had wanted to look and obsess over something else just for one night, but alas, keeping his damn hands to himself proved difficult, even in a situation like this, even if he wasn't fumbling with clothing to begin with, but much rather was trying to find a good way to put at least one arm around the blonde in some sort of weird hug without touching where it hurt, or putting too much pressure on the others body. His kissing was far from shy at this point, if only because he already was looking for a spot on Richards throat that he could kiss without a piece of fabric in the way.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "I'm just... it's fireworks, I don't know what to say.", Richard grumbled. No cat ate his tongue he simply felt a little bit out of place here, with the fireworks and as some dort of Yujins boyfriend. He didn't intend to be someones boyfriend and when he thought about it, he felt bad for having fun and love when his siblings would never have anything like that. But he'd go back, tomorrow, he'll leave Silesse and Yujin behind to avenge his family and follow them into death. Nayantai as well. Was it so wrong to have one last enjoyable night with Yujin then? One night before his life ended, even though it should have ended when the blade cut his throat? Enjoying himself today was something that Dayan couldn't be angry about, right? if he thought about it Dayan wouldn't even want him to run into his death, but Richard... he just couldn't go on like this, with nightmares haunting him and with carrying the guilt of still being alive while others were not. There was no way he'd ever feel like himself again, not even someone like Yujin was able to save him at this point.

When Yujin asked about any snarky comments Richard flinched. The wolf didn't mean much by it, but Richard behaved differently, didn't he? He didn't want Yujin to notice though. "Maybe I'm just tired...", he grumbled, knowing that that was a lie. Yujin however was right, maybe talking too much wasn't the best and being looked at by those blue eyes made Richard feel different already. Not better or worse, it was an odd feeling. His body felt warm and he was feeling his own heartbeat, his stomach was filling with butterflies, more than usual. All of that grew more apparent when he felt Yujins lips once more as well as his arm around his body. Richard couldn't hug Yujin in return, his hand was held by him and the other arm was still in a sling that now was in both their ways. Richard decided to pull the bandaged arm out and move it out of the way at least, even if he couldn't use it to hold his own weight. Yujins lips left Richards and instead found their way on the blondes neck, somewhere between his jawline and one of the neckerchiefs he always wore. Whereas Richards eyes were closed before, he opened them again now, concentrating on the slight tickle on his skin, but also looking at the firework once more. His hurt arm found it's way softly on Yujins body anyway, simply because Richard didn't want to just sit there doing nothing to signal Yujin that yes, he enjoyed this.
    • Was there much to lose in the first place? No, there never had been and the stakes were at an all time low as well. Whatever or not he clinged to Richard tonight didn't matter, he'd eventually leave and then he'd not be able to see him again for a while, even though he was tired of living under his fathers thumb and doing nothing much in the first place. There was hardly anything he could attempt to do, with all of his efforts being fruitless in the first place - up until now anyway, after all, something seemed to change and whatever it was, there was no denying that he disliked any of this. Factually, he'd much rather have Richard act like this all the time, as silly as it sounded, not because he hated who he usually was, but rather because it was easier to interact with him if he was anything like this - if he'd been remotely like this before, who knew, maybe they'd have had more time to spend together, less time to convince one another, but ... that sounded sillier than ever. Yujin was, if anything, in love with who Richard was and even if that changed overtime, even if he welcomed the change, he'd still have stuck to him if it had turned out different - at least he'd like to believe that. "Well, for the record, I like looking at you a lot more.", he hurriedly admitted. Whatever Yujin was looking for, whatever it was love or something else, he was hellbound on getting it from Richard, lest he'd not want it from anyone at all and that only meant that he had to try harder if he wanted him to stick around.

That, in itself, sounded stupid, too, tough, stupid enough to make him consider leaving hickeys all over the blonde, to bite down on patches of skin that weren't his to claim and that had long lost any kind of feeling, but that was also about everything he could do. His fingers were too cold to put them somewhere beneath Richards clothing, much like his nose was too cold to bury it against the blondes neck, but all of that was hardly important when he peppered every patch of skin that he could access like this in kisses, when he dropped in the occasional bite that meant nothing beyond the fact that he liked how this was playing out, that he liked giving all of his attention to someone that maybe wasn't even savoring it, but Yujin hardly cared, he never had, never would. "That's alright.", he commented instead, watching the blonde shift around to acommodate him and the fact how much closer and personal all of this got. The wolf didn't want to take any piece of clothing off of Richard, didn't want to let go of his hand either and mainly used both of his legs to prod himself up, all the while his mouth moved past the neckerchief that seemingly was only in his way. "And it'd be a lie if I'd claim that I didn't like touching you a lot more than I like looking at you.", he admitted, almost ashamed, but it was like that, there was nothing to change that. Usually, he'd run his mouth without ever stopping or considering to what he was saying, but for now, he was silent, enjoying the warmth that ran through his own body and his heart that pounded in his own chest. "How about we do something else for old times sake? You don't have to throw me into the sea for that one ..."
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • There was no shoving and yelling anymore, there were long over that, even though it took a while. Richard had been so scared to get close to someone, yet he did and he was about to lose Yujin too. At least was safe here though, at least he wouldn't die young and at least h would forget he lost someone too. Richard wanted to stop his thoughts going to places like that today, he just wanted to have a nice evening with Yujin, without him sensing that something was off. "I'm here even after the firework stops...", he said when Yujin admitted he had only eyes for Richard right now. The kisses turned into small bites and the blonde leaned a bit against Yujin, since he didn't have an arm to hold his own weight. Not being able to touch Yujin annoyed him and so he used his bandaged arm anyway. He softly put his fingers under Yujins chin, removing his lips from Richards neck and instead moving them upwards so Richard was able to look at him. After just a few moments he kissed him once more, softly and slowly as if he wanted to treasure every last moment.

Would it be so bad to just lie down right here and there? They didn't bring a blanket or something else to sit or even lie on, but they both wore enough layers of clothing so that the snow wouldn't be able to seep trough, right? Sitting here was nice too, but Richard felt a little bit helpless with no arm to spare and with his side still hurting a bit when he put to much strain on it. Instead of giving in though, he shifted his sitting position and instead of sitting on his ass, he bent his knees to sit on his legs, as well as turning towards Yujin a bit more. All the while he didn't break the kiss and his cold fingers were placed on Yujins cheek. Only after a few more minutes he let him breath again and took a short break of his own. "That's not really anything new...", Richard mumbled, his gaze shying away for a second. Even though the winter was starting today and that meant it was one of the coldest days out here yet, Richard felt warm, even cozy. The thoughts that tortured him before seemed to be pushed back to the back of his head, just because he looked into Yujins eyes. He liked this feeling and it was probably the reason he fell for the wolf in the end. "What?", he simply asked for whatever Yujin was insinuating now. After throwing Yujin into the sea, Richard broke his nose, both were things Yujin probably didn't mean right now.
    • Describing situations as miniscule was one thing, but for whatever reason, this one felt much bigger than it had to be - Yujin liked the thought of staying out here, even if it was just for a while, and cuddling ever closer. They both wore what felt like twenty layers, even if it probably was hardly four, but Yujin was used to that; for as much as he claimed his body could take the cold, he was wearing enough layers to keep just about anyone warm. What caused the sudden surge of heat in his body, however, wasn't exactly his clothing or the faint, pinkish glow that had settled on his face, but rather Richard, who he'd have fumbled out of at least one or two layers under normal circumstances. "I know.", he answered, none the wiser that the blonde would be here just for a moment more and then phase out of his life like he'd never been there, leaving no traces and no explanation that the wolf hadn't already heard somewhere. Not that it mattered tonight, for Yujin, all of this was so far away, weeks or months, maybe even a year from now - he didn't have the slightest clue, not when he felt Richards hand on his chin, or their gazes locked with one another. If anything, it just reminded him of the talk they once had had, maybe even more than once, about how they both had what the other desperately wanted - a set of normal eyes, beautiful eyes in fact, that fit Richard so well, Yujin could've kept looking at them forever, even when he haphazardly remembered that he was holding Richards uninjured arm and was about to say something, just before a kiss shut him up and he closed his eyes for a moment.

All the worries he previously didn't voice and the stuff he didn't want on his mind either were gone by now, Yujin desperate to return the kiss, yet gasping for air once Richard had shuffled his position around and pulled away. Yujin took a breather, not for long, though, not when he eventually chased after Richard, wanted more than he already had and he wasn't sure how much more he would get; it was cold out here, even more so for his other half, but that didn't mean that things couldn't change. Who knew? "I know that, too. Feels like we've done everything in the book before, huh?", he expressed as soon as he pulled his own lips away again, deliberately staying close, just in case someone else wanted more of something that he could have whenever he liked, given the fact that Yujin was someone that hardly ever said no to something. The hand on his cheek felt comforting for whatever odd reason, something he brushed off and instead leaned into, not with pressure, not by letting his head rest against the obviously injured limb, but by softly brushing his lips against it as he shifted his head a bit and kissing the palm, ever so softly, his gaze still resting on Richard, who had definitely seen something he liked before. "Oh, you know. The usual.", he proposed, sounding less embarrassed than just about any other time. That was who he was, huh? Quite the troublemaker, and if anything, the source of Richards constant annoyance. Yujin put his free hand on the one resting on his face, and gently traced it up, all the way to Richards shoulder, not lingering anywhere for long, in fear of inflicting pain, before brushing over the blondes back. The other one squeezed the blondes hand gently, seemingly not willing to let go. "Want your other hand back?" Wasn't hand-holding their thing, though? Suddenly, however, Yujin had quite the stupid idea - which seemed to be nothing new, never had, never would be, but it was worth a shot, right? "You can sit on my lap if that makes things easier." And with that, he moved his own hand to the small of Richard back, giving him a gentle push into the right direction.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Everything was cold and colorless here, but there was Yujin, he was warm, gentle and always saw the bst in everyone, even Richard. How could one guy be this happy and loving and why did he even have eyes for Richard? Deep down he was broken, hopelessly so and telling Yujin never was any good and now he roped him in and in moments like these Richard wondered if he really wanted to go. The kiss calmed Richard down as always, he leaned into it, took in Yujins taste and smell, he never wanted to forget any of it. Yujins skin was warm, unlike Richard cold fingers and maybe also cold heart. He was melting under his soft touch and the fact that there wasn't much room for a breather was actually a good thing. Yujin kissed Richard again and Richard returned the kiss once more. The firework long lost its sparks for Richard, he didn't care about it anymore even though it was still going on. He had his own firework right there, he had Yujin, even though he couldn't really hold him in his arms right now.

"It feels like I was here much longer than only a few months...", Richard mumbled. Yujin was still so close that he could feel his breath on his own lips. He stole himself another short kiss, just tasting Yujins lips for a fraction of a second. His forehead softly touched Yujins, as well as his nose touched Yujins cheek. The wolf meanwhile cuddled up to Richards hand, kissed it softly even, it didn't hurt, the touches didn't either, but Richard could also barely feel them through all the layers of clothing and the bandages. "The usual...?", Richard wondered, for the usual it might have been a little cold here if he was completely honest, but he also didn't want to go anywhere else where they weren't alone. This right now was their own private island so to speak. "I can't do much without it...", Richard simply mumbled, then listened to Yujins idea. "I'm not a child...", Richard grumbled, lik he did last time, but today he didn't want to fight, so he let it drop. Instead he moved closer. He climbed on top of Yujin slowly and he moved his remaining hand from Yujins cheek around him instead. "What now?"
    • Yujin didn't want to share Richard, he never had, even if he wondered if it was selfish to do so - all he had done was look at his fellow wolf and decide that he'd much rather lose himself in him, not give him to anybody else and for the lack of a better word, for the lack of more knowledge, he had to admit that, he had forsaken himself, doomed himself to the realization that he had fallen for someone that didn't want to voice the simplest of his thoughts, to admit that they both had done the same. Whenever Yujin thought about it, he didn't know whatever or not he should laugh or cry about it, didn't know if he should come clean and force Richard to make a decision, yet, he didn't have to - he had accepted that things weren't always going to go his way, or anyones, no. Instead, he welcomed all that he got, all the kisses the he seemingly wanted to return, leaving no room for air or even words, aside from the few that spilled from their lips. Honesty was, what Yujin valued, to be frank and it would never be any different from that, even if he deluded himself often enough. "How about we take a boat trip out of Silesse? You did mention that ages ago.", he chuckled, and he wasn't even sure where that came from - he just recalled that Richard had asked him ages ago whatever or not he'd left this frozen hellhole before, but Yujin didn't have a concrete answer for him, he never did. However, Richard was right. "Who knows how many more months it'll be. But I'll be there for you." It had been a while since he'd arrived here, but nothing out of the ordinary, not a long abount of time that Yujin would have easily let slide - no, it had only been a short few months and thinking about that made him wonder why, or how this was happening in the first place; he'd never asked about details, he didn't care much for them, instead he wanted to drown out all those stupid thoughts and kissed Richard, searched for a reason to kiss him back and stop him from talking, not because he loathed it, but rather because he didn't want to think about eventualities tonight.

"Well, whenever we meet up, the chances that we'll sleep with each other is ... actually quite high.", he chuckled, almost apologetical, now that Richard was sitting on his lap and he thought about all the logistics that entailed. There'd be snow in Richards soft hair, probably, and they'd make a mess of the snow - the pale, partially rough and scarred skin would grow colder the moment Yujin peeled him out of those layers that separated their bodies from touching one another; maybe the top layers could stay on, just this once. "I figured, and I'm sure you'd like to do something." Richard was the one that was horrible at keeping his hands to himself, but Yujin liked the appreciation, the fact that he was wanted, that a pair of desperate hands wasn't looking for something to hold onto but much rather for something to touch, to desecrate and make his own - it'd be a lie tho say that Yujin didn't like any and all marks that Richard could leave on his body. "I never said that. You're pretty hot, though, desperate or not.", he commented, being granted what he wanted. Having to look ever so slightly upward from down here made him appreciate the view more, the golden locks that kept falling into Richards face and the hair that had grown so much longer since he first got here; and the sight itself was mesmerizing enough for Yujin to lose it just for a second, before he put his hand on the nape of Richards neck to guide him downwards ever so slightly, just to kiss him again. One of his hands found its way to the sash that was tightly wrapped around Richard to keep all of those clothes in place, yet only rested there, instead of fumbling with it. He felt at peace out here, there was nothing but the drowned out sound of fireworks that were still going off and the crashing waves that were way too far away from them to begin with - it was almost serene. "Whatever you want or can think of. I can't really carry you anywhere, but I doubt you want to leave already?" One of them had a fucked up arm, the other one a fucked up leg - what came next, the opposite?
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • "I did mention that...", Richard admitted. "How did you remember that... I think it was in the very first week of meeting you." It was so long ago, Richard forgot about it and now that Yujin mentioned it, Richard couldn't even recall the exact occasion himself. He just new it happened and that he was desperate to get out of here somehow. He didn't even recall why he asked Yujin to join him, maybe just because he thought it would be easier to get a boat or ship and steer it. "We could do it... but can you work a boat or a ship?", Richard asked and he doubted it. He himself was on a ship a few times, but only as a passenger, but a boat, not too far away should be manageable... why was he even thinking about that? He'd be gone soon, there would be no boat or ship or travel out of Silesse, not for Yujin at least. "I... I know..." Why was Yujin saying h'd be here for Richard right now? Richard kissed him again, he wanted him to shut up right now, he didn't want to lie to him any more than he needed to.

"Why are you saying that right now...?", Richard asked Yujin, he had all the timing today didn't he? Out in the snow would be something new, they were in a tent, yes, but there they had something to lay down on and blankets and fur to keep them, or rather Richard warm. At least they weren't too far from a warm fire in the hut, yet far enough to feel alone with only themselves. "I just want to touch you...", Richard mumbled, that's all he needed his hand for, since the other was rather useless right now. Hold Yujin tight was one thing he wanted to do but he couldn't with an arm still hurting when pressed too hard. "Who's desperate?", Richard questioned after being beckoned to take a seat. He felt Yujins touch once more and let himself be pulled down for another kiss. His stomach started tingling when he felt Yujins hand over his stomach. "It's peaceful out here...", Richard admitted, he liked being alone and he grew to like being alone with Yujin together, though he felt a little awkward sitting on his lap. He felt a little out of place and embarassed, even though no one would come by here.
    • Yujin had no idea, he never had - there was no definite timeline of what happened when in his head, much like he couldn't quite recall why he was remembering most of this in the first place and why it happened now, too. There were only so many questions he could ask either of them, as much as there only were so many answers that he could give to both Richard and himself. That, in turn, only meant that it would get more confusing from here on out. "Uhhh, good question. I don't know why, but my head feels ... a lot clearer, kind of? For the past few days at least." Under any normal circumstances, the chances of Yujin remembering just about anything were quite slim, if not completely unlikely. Why, though? He'd be lying if he claimed that he didn't like being fully aware of what had happened before, yet, it just felt weird to him. "No, but we can figure that out before we leave the harbor, right? What about you, though? Maybe I can ask someone to show us.", Yujin mumbled, placing his formerly free, now occupied hand on Richards hips to keep him where he was, just to let his other one fumble with the sash. This was, what he'd wanted to do before and Richard wasn't stopping him, which wasn't anything new in this case - never had been, never would be, no matter what Yujin would come up with. Instead, Yujin felt like he wanted to be closer, still, even if there was no way to do so.

A kiss shut him up from saying anything more, one that he didn't want to end, even when Richard pulled away; chasing after him seemed to be Yujins thing, regardless of what was happening, or when it was happening - it just transpired and he didn't take much note of it until it did, usually at the very least. "I felt like I should. Not for any particular reason." It never was, not when Yujin was grinning like an idiot and he had to admit that he did it all the time around Richard, not so much when he was by his lonesome or around just anybody else. For whatever reason, Richard was ... well, what was Richard to him? Too much for such a short period of time they spent together, that much was for certain already, but everything else blurred the line. "That's fine by me, I wouldn't want it any other way." And that he didn't, even when he was fumbling with some fabric right now and actually pressing some kisses to Richards clothed throat - he didn't mind that he was actually unable to reach beneath and he didn't need to take the neckerchief off, not when something else was going to come loose eventually and Richard would probably wish he never agreed to letting Yujin fumble around. "Me. I'm always desperate for you. That's what you want to hear, right?" And even if it wasn't, the wolf had blurted it out between kisses, whatever it meant their lips meant or not, or if he was using his teeth deliberately to softly bite whatever spot on Richards throat that he could find. "I'm glad you like it, then ... nobody comes here, so we can do whatever we want.", he explained, only to finally rid Richard of his sash, to realize how hard and heavy his heart was pounding when he slid one of his arms under one, and then another layer, wrapping it around Richard, to keep him close - and maybe touch his ass, just for the fun of it. "There's hardly anything I like more than being with you.", he mused, speaking into patches of Richards skin instead, just before he took another kiss that he'd otherwise have demanded. Whatever would he do if Richard wasn't here anymore?
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Yujins words let Richards suspicions about his father rise once more, but he told Yujin before and he didn't listen. It was too late, Richard would leave and Yujin needed to save himself. He felt awful for thinking like that, but he also didn't have an alternative. "Maybe because you changed your medication...?", Richard suggested, what more could he do. Would Yujin even remember this conversation? He felt like he was abandoning him, but what else was he supposed to do? "Me? I uh... have been on boats and ships, but not alone.", he answered. I Stenz they sometimes helped out, when they traveled anywhere else they just did so as passengers and nothing more. It would have been so much faster to go back to Adrestia by ship, but no one knew if they'd not been caught by a harbor, they rather slipped over the border secretly. Did it matter though? No not at all. As if another kiss was able to keep Richard from going insane, he threw himself into the next, he kissed Yujin and he was happy about the second one that came shortly after. Yujins hand was placd on Richards hip, probably to keep him from sliding off again.

Richard therefor got his hand back and he used it to pull Yujin into another kiss by the back of his head. The injured arm felt in the way, as if it didn't belong to Richard, for now he placed it on Yujins shoulder to not have to hold it himself. Yujin turned to kiss Richard neck, albeit it was still closed. Usually he was so hellbent on getting rid of the neckerchief and seeing that ugly scar, but now he maybe was just considerate, since the cold night air was all around them. Richard lay his head back a bit to provide more access and every time he pressed some air out of his lungs there was a little cloud leaving his mouth. Yujin was especially demanding today, wasn't he? Usually they'd both get a little bit embarrassed while they both couldn't keep their hands off of each other. "I didn't mean to make you say anything...", Richard replied, his heart pounding so loud he was able to hear it in his head. There wasn't much he felt of the kisses, but he felt the little bites that made him shiver just a tiny bit. "Whatever we want?", Richard questioned as the sash came loose and a wave of cold air was invited in. He shivered, but not because of the cold air, because of the warm lips on his bare skin and the hand that wandered down to rest there. Before he could think about what to say Richard was pulled into another kiss. Under him he felt Yujin very clearly now and while h still kissed him, Richard also shifted his position, pressing himself against Yujin, mayb he even adjusted the placement of his hip for too long to find a comfortable position.
    • There was too much to think about, too much to consider and Yujin had long cast all of that aside, didn't want to think about it just one more time, no - Richard might be right about what he was saying and Yujin might be wrong to dismiss him like that, yet, there was nothing he wanted to do about that, at the very least not tonight. "So it's either constant pain in my leg or garbage memory? I think I'd take the leg.", he murmured into the kiss, fleeing from the topic at hand, not encouraging any more dialogue. If this persisted, maybe he could remember to just not take any more medication that he was offered, leave behind the icy castle, or anything of the sort - he was an adult, according to all that he had done, so it was only right to behave like one, to act upon his own decisions and not wait for someone else to make them for him. "Tough luck for both of us then, huh?", he grimaced, knowing fully well that they both needed someone to guide them through everything, then - just once, or maybe twice, so they could go on their little trip without causing any problems for themselves. Did that change anything? No, he'd eventually be locked up again, just like Richard predicted, because freedom seemingly had a price and was only ever granted to him if he behaved. Yujin didn't realize how much he hated all of this until it had been pointed out to him, what a pain in the ass he'd have to be.

He liked the hand that soon rested in his hair, that pulled him closer and promised him another kiss soon after. It didn't matter if they were obsessed with being close to one another or having nothing more besides one another at their side, they always seemed to gravitate back to one another - and they did, wanting more and more, even as the wolf moved away from the lips that he'd not gotten enough of. Richard leaned back ever so slightly, probably putting a strain on his scar, which Yujin didn't quite approve of, yet, his head was somewhere else entirely and his teeth were busier than ever, as if he had to prove to Richard that he could leave a myriad of hickeys just because - that he didn't need anything to make it official when he could just claim the blonde as his own. "You didn't make me, don't worry. I say what I like, even if you don't want to hear it." Proclamations of love, for example, weren't Richards favorite thing in the world - in fact, if Yujin had to guess, it was the one thing that the blonde wolf didn't want to hear from him, never, not once, but he'd uttered them at least once, maybe twice, hadn't he? "Yes, anything. Just say the word and I'll be happy to oblige as long as it is something I can do." Were it to be something Yujin wanted, it'd be this, but also something else - nothing he dared speaking of. He felt as if he was mile-high, all of him which felt previously cold was warm and cozy now and Richard was the one that incited all of this - the one that made his heart pound and his head fuzzy, feeling full of cotton, even though Yujin was the one that started all of this, that just fumbled with the blondes clothes, rather than his own, giving in to the occassional kiss that he felt like he needed. A whine escaped his lips, not because Richard was shifting around, but rather because of what he was doing. "You're the desperate one.", he declared - he hadn't even undone his own sash at this point and instead wanted another kiss, pressing himself against Richard as best as he could like this.
Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
    • Yujin clearly didn't want to talk about his leg or his memory anymore, instead he stole himself another kiss and Richard gave it to him. There was nothing Richard could do anyway, instead he pulled Yujin a bit closer and returned the occasional bites on his lip. Richard played with Yujins tongue, wasn't this a much better use anyway? Too much talking and overthinking wasn't what Richard wanted today, he just wanted Yujin to have an incredible night with everything he wished for. "We'll figure it out...", Richard murmured a little bit breathless and immediately afterwards he resumed to kiss the wolf. All of his skin was prickling and he actually wanted more of Yujin, yet they were still out here and to find anything under those heaps of clothes, especially without opening the sash was impossible. Richard let his hand run over Yujin anyway, albeit him being fully clothed still. He wondered over his shoulder, his arm and his back. He softly bit into Yujins lower lip and he tasted it with his tongue once more. small steamy clouds were still emerging from both of their mouths.

When Yujin pulled back, Richard grabbed his shoulder softly, holding on to him. At this point he wasn't sure if the cold air or the warm waves of Yujins breath on his naked skin made him shiver. He felt teeth and sucking and he didn't mind having some blue spots on the way, to remind him of better times when he wasn't sure how to go on. "I didn't say I didn't like it...", Richard sighed into the night, then he let his hand slide down on Yujins color, following the fabric to the point of it crossing. He softly pulled on it to make Yujin come closer. He kissed him again, not as long this time though. When he let go he briefly kissed Yujins jawline and stopped right by his ear. "If... if there was any fantasy you had, anything you wanted to do but didn't want to ask... I want you to do it tonight.", Richard whispered in his ear. it was hard to spell it out, he felt embarrassed but he meant it. Tonight he was ready for everything Yujin came up with. He kissed Yujin again soon enough. "You're the one moaning..."
