The only thing that was left was for the two of them to stumble home, to call it a day and then to never think about this little booze-filled adventure again. To be fair, Yujin didn’t mind, he had had fun and from the looks of it, Richard not only knew how to party himself but it also was half as bad as he made it out to be - at least at the start. Once everything kicked in, there had been silence and static, plus, Quan finally shut up and everyone was seemingly resting their eyes - nothing that Yujin disliked, per se, but it somehow felt as if they all were missing out on the good stuff all of a sudden, despite the fact that there was literally nothing happening. “Do you even need someone to save you from me? I’m sure you could shove me away yourself if you don’t want something”, the wolf complained. Sure, Richard could ask someone else, but that also meant he’d have to talk someone to begin with, which, judging by how much he liked talking to others, was nothing that the blonde would be keen on to begin with. “Are you disappointed?”, he suddenly asked - Richard didn’t seem to excited about what he’d gotten to hear and to be fair, Yujin himself wouldn’t be stoked either.
“Do you want to hear something like, I’ll make your night even better if you trust me?”, the wolf asked, wondering if he’d get a better reaction out of Richard if he interlaced their fingers instead of dragging him around by the wrist - and so he did. “If you want tea, I can get you some, but I’m staying far away from the pot.” Reassurance was always best and yet it hurt, but for some reason, the pain wasn’t too bad - it felt as if his chest was, however, uncomfortably tense all of a sudden and there was something, anything, happening with the heart that was buried deep in there, which felt like it was beating faster than it should. “And probably drank like a bottomless pit, got you”, Yujin snickered, but he wasn’t any better - he was the one that kept drinking and smoking, he was the one that had forced Richard to chime in to begin with and now they stood out here, in the cold and were doing what, exactly? “True, we should get going, but there’s something I want to do first”, Yujin admitted, looked up at the stars once more as if he were looking for godly guidance or something and before he could even muster a stupid thought, he leaned over to Richard and stole one simple kiss - and then, he wanted to go on. “That. If you wanted that”, he elaborated, smiling at the blonde and then, well, now they could go home, right? “Let’s go.”

Looking back, it maybe is like the toy carts you rode when you were a kid. But those toy carts could never go beyond the walls of the lawn. We want to follow the rugged concrete road beyond the wall. As we've grown, we've decided to leave behind the toy cart.
