Caelan loved to see Ronan enjoy things, even more so when he prepared them. Still he had to laugh at Ronans silliness once again. "I didn't say you should wear nothing but a shirt, but you can, if you want.", he laughed, but there was time for that later. For now Caelan wanted to enjoy a meal with his beloved and hopefully it didn't taste like garbage. Ronan seemed to make himself comfortable once he sat down, the fur was warm, not some cold wood and the fireplace did the rest. They were able to use the pillows to lean back too if they wanted and Caelan even would have let himself be used as a table if Ronan wanted one, but he seemed fine. "The bird surely isn't the problem, but I'm not cooking very often. Not like this at least.", he explained with another laugh, carefully watching Ronan cut off a piece of the bird to taste it. He chewed for a while during which Caelan just sat there, staring at him expectantly, waiting for an answer. He didn't get an answer right away however.
"I'm glad. Still, I want only the best for you and after all, you're a noble.", he smiled but they both weren't out for luxury all the time. Especially not Caelan, but Ronan also seemed like he'd prefer a simpler life. The blonde wasn't sure about the duke and duchess of Alster, their home was pompous enough, the dining hall had been too, but they had a guest after all. Caelans parents however truly cared about having the best dresses and best plates all the time, throwing old stuff out as if it was no problem, while Caelan saved some pieces to give to the townspeople. Allard too sold silver or gave away plates to their servants, but he could also do with spending less money on trivial things in Caelans opinion. Finally Caelan got an answer about the food though. "Really? Great!", he beamed full of joy and shook his head quickly. "No no, the rabbit was good too!" With that he took a bite of his own creation and figured that Ronan wasn't lying. It probably wasn't as good as something coming out of a nobles kitchen, but it wasn't bad either. Ronan meanwhile aimed for drinking some booze, reaching for the wrong cup at first. Again Caelan carefully watched him. "I have other bottles too. He likeds to experiment, he actually has a lot of this stuff around, but I never saw him drink. Maybe taste what he created, but then he mostly lets me drink alone, or gifts me some bottles.", he explained, then chuckled. "I'm glad it's not too strong for you."
