Caelan sighed deeply, without really having a reason, he enjoyed lying in the grass, that was all. The sun was almost gone and finally it started to get colder. The flame next to him wasn't bothering too much, not with the cool breeze swaying gently around them. Maybe he should have taken a break earlier, he felt like he rode forever, which he actually did, he wanted to bring as much distance between himself and his father as possible, though he'd never be able to truly escape him, this was just an illusion he indulged in. He didn't try to hide his yawning while he looked at the sky again, some stars already started glimmering there. "Disappoint me? How? Because you don't smile, or you aren't making it hard enough?", he smiled. Caelan was not easily disappointed, after all he never really had any expectations to begin with, as much as everything else, he just lived in the moment and waited for things to turn out exactly as they were. He rarely thought about possible outcomes and situation, why would he, when he couldn't control all that?
"A few years?!", Caelan blurted out after hearing Ronans answer. Years without smiling or laughing, how was that even possible and how could Ronan be so calm about it? Was this a joke, or was Ronan really that unhappy with... well whatever it was. To be completely honest Caelan wasn't even sure how he should respond to that, Asking him why seemed way out of place, considering they only really knew each other for maybe half an hour, even Caelan noticed that. "You're kidding, right?", he still asked but didn't know if he would want to hear the answer to his question. He briefly looked at Ronan, who was looking at the sky himself now, still sitting unbelievably diligent next to the fire. "I don't mind staying here and I don't mind leaving. Whatever you prefer.", he answered, not sure what Ronan truly wanted. "I really don't mind, you can be honest with me." Did he really want to stay here? Did he really want to go? Actually... he was being honest, he rode a long time so a nights sleep sounded intriguing, but so did the cool air at night, that made it much more comfortable to travel. Well... whatever was fine really. "Why would it be an advantage to wear a shirt as opposed to me? Actually Lavern is hot and I hate it, if anything forcing me to wear clothes is a disadvantage for me.", he laughed, only half meaning it as a joke. It wasn't like he fainted if it got too hot, he just hated it was all. "And telling me I'd be a disgrace without pants makes me wonder what you think you'll see... that almost hurt!" This was a joke as opposed to what he said before, yes, this was one hundred percent a joke. Even he wouldn't dare showing up pantless anyway. "I... yeah I guess? I mean... I think I could worry a little more at times. But some situations can't be changed, so what's the point in dwelling over it? And other situations are unpredictable, so you'll never be able to prepare. I dunno... I never worried much about anything."
